Pages of your favourite writer's life: introduction post

Hello Everyone!
My name is Mbiatabasi Ikitde, and it feels good to be a part of the Hive community. I want to register my appreciation to Hive for coming up with a platform where individuals can hone their skills and connect with one another, and at the same time get value for the time they spend on the platform. I'm positive that my time here will be a rewarding one.

A Glimpse into my life
I am a Nigerian born lady who believes in inspiring and motivating others to greatness. As long as I live in this world, it is incumbent on me to spur people up and give them a reason to reach for the skies.
With my words and actions, I love to see people happy and reach their God-designed purpose in life. As much as I can, I use my words to ignite fire in the minds of people to get them to begin their journey towards the actualization of their purpose.

When I am not inspiring others to reach their goals, I get busy inspiring myself with songs that bring my mind the peace and calmness needed to thrive in a chaotic world. Music is not just a soothing balm for me, but even a therapeutic tool.

Again, I feel fulfilled in the classroom, as I get to pour out all of me into fertile soil who eventually become champions in their own lives. Teaching is my passion, and it brings a deep sense of satisfaction.

Coming of Age
As the last child in a family of four, I felt and tasted love in its truest form. The necessary motivation to thrive and craft great dreams came from the fact that I had older siblings who had given me a glimpse of what life was like, and pushed me to be nothing but the best. I can say for a fact that they have been my biggest cheerleaders, believing in me almost more than I believe in myself.

My father, being a lecturer in the university and an ardent lover of education, consistently ensured that I had the best in terms of education and never settled for less. In my father's house, mediocrity was never an option. It was excellence or nothing. This was the beginning of my perfectionist tendencies. I either did it perfectly, or didn't do it at all. This mindset has stayed with me till today.

My Favourite Things to do
I love to express myself verbally. It is this love, coupled with the fact that God had blessed me with a strong and energetic voice that made me consider a career in voice-over acting. I find it very soothing to use my words to thrill and motivate.

Beyond speaking, I love to write. I added writing to the list of my favourite things to do after I realised how well I could employ the power of the pen to spur the minds of people and to reshape the world. I'm working very hard to publish a book that will serve as a manual for young people to navigate their life in a world replete with confusion and disorder.

I had affirmed my love for singing earlier, and I'm doing it again. I love to raise my voice to sing songs that usher me to a realm beyond the physical. Singing brings so much joy to my heart, especially because God has blessed me with a melodious voice.

What's to Come
I am a person filled with a torrent of visions for the future, and this has fueled my optimism in life. Beyond today, I live with the future in mind. A future that’s remarkable and will be filled with laudable achievements. For one, I envision taking my voice-over acting skills to the next level.

With constant learning and upgrading, in no time, my voice would be the one behind big brands and microphones, thrilling the world and awakening passions. My channels on the social media space would be a go-to destination for everyone who needs to re-awaken his sense of purpose and direction.The future won't be just about me. Young people will be blessed by the wealth of my experience in life through an academy I hope to set rolling, which will raise girls of value and impact in this world, and equip them with the right skills and knowledge to soar.

I can't fail to appreciate @newbreed for not trying to be the only fish in the pond, but looking for ways to hatch other big fishes. To everyone out there, I'm ready to explore and put my skills to good use and be the light I was created to be. I'm positive that my time on Hive would be productive, as I get to hone my skills & network. Let's embark on this adventure!
