Scam experience

Scam can be called so many things. Fraud, 419, money laundering, theft, one chance, ponzi and so on
Scam to me means reaping where you did not sow, you didn't really work for it. I can't remember how many times I've been scammed honestly but I know whenever I have money and I'm about to do something tangible with my money, I get scammed one way or the other, mostly online. I will be sharing some of my experiences with you guys today so as not to fall a victim and to learn from it. Let's start from the recent one to the old.

One chance: I was on my way home from work around 8pm, it takes me an hour to get home cause I worked far from home. On this faithful day, I just got my salary, I would say it was my lucky day. I'm the type that always operating phone in the car but on this particular day I had a hunch to withdraw to get some things on my way home and to hide my phone under my cloth. The old me would have kept it in my bag but I followed my instincts. I withdrew 20,000 for my necessities and kept the rest saved and switched off my phone. We were only ladies in the cab I took that night and I didn't see anything wrong with it cause it was not the first time. It wasn't up to 10minutes when one of the guys snatched my bag from me and started going through it. I got angry and wanted to confront him when one of the guys pointed a hammer at me, it was then me and the lady knew we were in trouble. They collected her phone and asked her to transfer all her money to them but she had nothing on her except her phone and they started beating her then they asked for my phone too, I told them it was stolen that same week, the guy going through my bag found the money I withdrew and gave me my bag back but the girl was not spared, they were hitting her leg and back with the hammer and she was just shouting. I got away with few slaps, thinking of this makes me want to laugh. They dropped us halfway, the girl couldn't move and we both were crying, got another cab with the money I had hidden at the back of my phone and I took her home. I had to sleep at their place cause I didn't want my aunty to see my face that day. The girls sister massaged her that night and told her sister" no matter what you do, have money in this life" she said it in a funny way that made us laugh and it was an experience I couldn't forget.

Second experience was when I was serving. I worked for my boss and got my pay daily. I saved up to 40,000 for the festive season. I decided to rest for a day but it was a worst decision I made I guess. I got a text from someone that claimed to be my friend who met me in the market which was true. I met someone in the market but I didn't ask for his name. We got talking and he started talking about a business he was currently doing and withdrew, he even showed me proof and also called to tell me more about it. I was interested not knowing it was another scam formula. They were using Palmpay to scam people then but my mind didn't go there. He said all I have to do was deposit 20,000-40,000 and I'll get credited double. My mind already told me it was a ponzi scheme but I could stop myself from sending the money. Immediately I sent 20,000, my eyes opened, I called him, he picked and continued reassuring me that it was real but then I was calm, I only told him I dashed him the money and I forgave him. Though I was pained but then there was nothing I could do to him so I let it go. Since then I promised myself never to do anything online if it isn't investment or buying stock with my money.

Third experience. Honestly, I can't count how many times I've been scammed online from as low as 2,000 to 20,000. This third experience happen to be 5,000 and I was willing to borrow from my family just to send to this person. He tried accessing my Whatsapp but he was asked for my 2 factor verification then I knew this person was up to know good and I knew the importance of a 2 factor authentication. I can't rememberthus story fully but I wanted to share so as not to give anyone your details be it BVN or any information relating to you. Also when celebrities will chat you on Facebook promising to send you gift items when you pay a certain amount of money, I fell victim and that was in my Jss 3. I promised to give the fan and chairs to my church when it comes then not knowing it was all scam. I cried them cause it was my first time and I wanted doing something meaningful with it.
This isn't the end of this story but I can't remember all. I'm sharing this so we will all be careful out there. Scam is not something that will be stopped but we can prevent it by not been a victim. Have a wonderful day everyone and stay tuned to my blog for more.
