My Christmas and new year experience

Compliments of the season everyone. I welcome you all to 2026. I hear some people saying take me back to the beginning of the year, I already made a mistake but we go nowhere, the year continues.

My Christmas celebration wasn't really something to write about, I didn't spend the season with my family due to my work schedule. My work took a toll on me and slept through the whole Christmas celebration. After preparing food with my extended family, I went to sleep till late at night.
On boxing day, we went for our annual end of the year gathering. On this day, the whole extended families get to meet and bond with each other and for those that haven't met at all, you get to meet and bond on that day. We had lots of fun. From playing ludo, cards, dance competitions both kids and adults dance.

We also ate lots of meat and fish and we had a lot to drink, this is my best part because I love meat a lot and baby drinks too(capri-sun).

The gathering ended late and I went home with serious headache due to the loud music, I didn't even eat before I dozed off on the dining table for 30 minutes and felt better when I woke up. Work resumed on the 27th with no clients. My break started on the 29th to resume on the 5th but then all staffs got dismissed on the 31st due to reasons unknown to us. I didn't really dwell on it because a better one is coming. On the 1st of January 2026, I went for an interview as a nail technician and a hair stylist and was told they'd get back to me.

On the 2nd I went for home service, made a lady's hair and got paid for my services.
My year started on a very beautiful slate. The next day, I got called for services and got paid again, same as today too. My Christmas wasn't really a happy moment for me but my new year made everything perfect.
I also got a new job with a better pay and free room for improvement and also, I get to learn a new handwork.

This is my Christmas and new year experience so far and I must say, I'm happy with the way things are going and I hope it goes well for us all
