You might have come across this statement mostly made in a jocking sense, "I can't adult today". The statement simply refers to the fact that the person is saying he or she can't cope up with the duties and demands that comes with being a grown up; adult you might also say. The statement as mentioned above is mostly from a jovial sense, nevertheless, some might truly mean it, making it a reflection of their hearts. When a person utters this statement it means he or she might have gotten exhausted or frustrated from a day's event or week's schedule or possibly a longer time period of such exhaustion and frustration.

The thought of this statement came through my mind while recounting how lately I have been busy with activities or a lot of other stuffs; more importantly, that seems just overwhelming. Moreover, it seems just a frustrating cycle that keeping up is just tiring. Like you just have the same tasks or set of tasks to carry out every good given day that you just feel them sapping the energy from you - chuckles. Nevertheless, you have to keep pushing because they are useful as they are tiring.
So, one thing I have come to realise is the sometimes unnecessary burden of activities we place on ourselves. Yes, they tend to be the ones that really sap that energy and strength from us that ultimately gets us tired and frustrated and then questioning ourselves as well our lives. While many things are necessary, some things are more necessary and I believe those should be the ones we focus on. Why? This is because, even though they might tend to sap our strength and energy, they will bring us great fulfilment and the desire to do more when we see the results achieved from them.

One key factor brought to notice is also the matter of time management. I strongly affirm that even with the cutting down of tasks and activities and then engaging with the most needful of such, without proper time allocation and management it will end up another frustrating episode. So then, plan it well, be positive, see the outcome possibility and be good to go with that task scheduled.
There is this riddle we always say in our riddles and answers games while growing up. It goes like this, "what goes up and never comes down?". You know the answer I guess. If not, I will tell you for free so you can add to your riddles list - chuckles. Alright, so the answer is "age". Yeah, it is. Hence, when next you don't feel like to "adult today" remember that there's no going back from adulthood and the responsibilities. Find strength then from these things shared and keep on moving.

Some times I feel this way.
Adulting comes with a lot of responsibility but unfortunately not more time.
However despite the busyness of adulting, I think one thing that keeps me going is having meaningful relationships with other fellow adults like me.
So we can chill out and relax at Intervals
Hmmm that's really true.
I agree that's one good remedy to the stress of adulting.
Yeah ☺️
Adulthood comes with so many responsibilities, sometimes it makes us miss our childhood days but then growth is necessary..
Absolutely necessary.
