I am sorry to say this but I don't think the Bible ever frowned on polygamy because a lot of great men had more than one spouses in the Bible. The very same Bible told me with more than one wives to treat them all equally

I addressed the issue of polygamy and monogamy.
To add on that, your point on equality came from the old testament, we live in the new convenant now, God is not unjust to tell you to treat your wives unequal, it has happened and you'll need to right the wrong by representing Christ to them no matter the troubles Sir.
Hahahahahah as long as the Old testament is still a part of the Bible then I am sorry to say this it still counts after all Jesus Christ himself said he is not here to change a fraction of the law
