Hive Reachout Initiative 27. Helping the widows during Christmas gives me joy

Merry Christmas and welcome back to hive Reachout Initiative 27. This is a very special week for me because is Christmas week. Looking back to the beginning of the year, one will think that we just started the year last month, but here we are today celebrating another special Christmas. My prayer for everyone celebrating this Christmas is that we shall cross over to 2025 in good health and with plenty money in our bank account. AMEN 🙏.

We have a very special topic also to go with the special week of Christmas.

WHAT IS MY FAVORITE CHRISTMAS EXPERIENCE AND WHY?
I have spent some decades here on earth and that means that I have celebrated so many Christmas with lots of experience and I believe that I should have something to share with the house. Christmas is always special and it comes with it's own kind of joy and happiness. When I was a little girl it seems that I enjoyed Christmas more than now and the reason is because as a child all you need to do on Christmas day is to put on your Christmas clothes together with any gift that you were given for the celebration. Eat well, drink anything available for drinking. Move from one area of your town to another visiting family and friends and also eating and drinking anything that is offered to you. I don't really think that I even know what Christmas is all about. I thought it was just meant for eating and drinking. Hahaha 😂. Those days we eat until we start purging. Hahaha 😂. The kind of children that we have today are so wise that they don't just collect anything given to them and start eating. Maybe because they all have it at home. In our days, we don't see rice and fanta to eat and drink until Christmas. You see why we must finish everything before the Christmas ends. Opportunity they say comes but once. 😂 Is very funny.

Let me share one very special and also favorite experience of Christmas that I had two years ago. I have been having the burden to give out some food stuff and maybe some clothes to some widows in my area. When it was Christmas period I saw that as a good opportunity to call them together and share the little gift that I had for them. Though what I had as at then wasn't much so I contacted some of my friends who also helped by sending in their own support to add up to what I had.

I called the widows on the 22nd of December, 2022. When the all gathered I prayed with them and encouraged them to keep their faith in God because he can take care of their needs. After two hours with them I shared the food stuff and clothes to those present and the rest of the widows who could not come later came on Christmas day to collect theirs and it was given to them.

WHY IS IT SPECIAL?
After sharing those items and saw how some of the widows were so happy, I felt fulfilled knowing that I have positively affected some people and that will remain in their lives. It made me happy with myself. I knew that it was what God wanted me to do and after doing it I became happy.
I also used it to make post here in appreciation to hive for given me the opportunity to help because I used part of my income from hive to buy what I used.

MY WISH
It was actually my wish to continue to help the widows in my own little way, but I only repeated it last year with six widows because I was not able to get what will be enough for lots of them. I also wanted to do same this year but because of the situation of the country I didn't make any plans for this year. Hopefully next year I will try my best to help some widows. I can not forget the great help from @hiveded and her wonderful family during this occasion. I said it before and I am still saying it again, Thank you my mentor for showing me the way.
