I actually plan to offer that as a service. I already transfer analog video. The machines to transfer film reels starts at about $300 US.

This is my rig. I got the projection box used on ebay. I could do with a camera that has manual focus, but the results were good enough for my needs. I actually have two of these projectors as both grandfathers had them. I have lots more films, but some are just their holidays that have less of interest. My mum's dad filmed some air shows that may have some cool planes. There was some film of me as a kid and weddings that the family wanted to see.
Oh I got you. You’ve got one of the mirror boxes. That’s cool. The one I’ve been looking at does frame by frame capture using a led backlit panel to keep it cool. The one I want is actually about $1000, but I will probably have to start with one of the cheaper options. Not the best quality out of all the options, but satisfactory enough for most people looking to view those old reels again.
I'm sure capturing each frame will give much better results, but paying to get all my reels transferred would have cost far more than this box. I may do some more when I have time.
