This might be a common subject in developer's forums, but then again, I don't think I've ever put my two cents in. Truth is is quite easy to develop these blindspots, more so when you are inside the trenches for a very long time.
This subject too is very close to home, and the little story I share at the beginning of the video is a perfect example of it.
But I'm interested to know your opinions too. Do you think Developers have gotten better at this over the years or not? Do you find yourself frustrated with open source apps because of this very reason?

I left a comment and put my link - not sure if that will be able to stay and whether it's helpful? 🙂
Yes, it doesn't matter - until it does. I think there is a balance to be had. With AI, it's become much easier to migrate tech-stacks, but as people of the tech-craft, we obviously have a deeper apprecation for the tech-side than the normal user.
That said, it's great to witness your tech journey!
We should do some videos together bro. It would be awesome, webcam and all. What to do you say? I would love to get your thoughts on developing on hive vs other places. You are the most qualified to discuss this.
The most simple example is witness voting , most people have no clue what a witness do , or how they can check if they are still voting on an active witness or not, non of the front ends as far as i know sends a warning like hey you vote for this witness , but he hasn't been active for xx months or has missed xx blocks this week .
Funny enough most front ends do know how to make a pop-up when they need your vote for proposals , so when it is in their own intrest ( or atleast that is what it looks like to me ) they do know how to get a users atention for voting.
Same for proxy setting it's hidden away and people hardly know what it is for or how it works .
Hi i'm not sure if i contacted you before about this but, you might want to check your witness votes , i saw your name voting for a witness that is no longer active . If i did contact you before about this then i'm sorry for bothering you again. 🎄
I don't consider myself a developer anymore these days i used to make lot's of websites in the past (1999 - 2005)
But making things user friendly and idiot proof isn't easy .
Took care of it bud... Ol' Jedi seems to have retired his jersey too...
Keep it coming as expected from you 🔔
