My first day in the office.
Work place should be a fun place to be, but most times you will be in a place of work not knowing whether to be happy or not be happy.
Today i will say i am in between the two.
I am a court registrar in Okigwe high court,
The work is not as stressful as it should but today being my first day, with lots of compilations of work carried over from last year work made it more cumbersome for me and my colleague.
From sorting the files to arranging it and making the files available for the judge to use.
Let me take you through the process court proceedings.
Court sitting is possible when you have the judge or the magistrate depending on the court in question.
They are the ones who listens and take a decision and states the law as it were,
The lawyers or the barristers, they are the ones who defends or prosecutes matters in high court, their major work is to state the laws in the defence to their client or prosecute.
Third set of people are the clerk of court, this are judiciary staff, i call them the middle men of the court, they play an important role in court proceedings, how so? They collect the files, write out the cases for the day and call out the matters as they appears in the cause list.
The other set of people are the litigants they are in court for their matters.
The press and the observers, this are people who who are in the court to report and observe how things going.
What about the court Registrar? They are the staff who file and documents case files, they file and process the documents to be used in the court halls.
So today I wake up as early as 6 am do the normal morning rituals, eat and set out to leave.
I took a direct bus from My house direct to my office and take 100 steps from where the vehicle dropped me to my office, on getting there everywhere was empty, i took the broom 🧹 and sweep my office

Then i started sorting the files for work at about 45mins of sorting the files, the judge arrived and my other colleagues came,
