Christmas always brings with it a different atmosphere, a special energy that transforms the daily routine. In our case, it was no exception. This day was truly different, full of emotions, smiles, and moments that will remain in our memory. I sincerely hope that your day was also filled with joy, enthusiasm, and pleasant surprises.
The work dynamic changed completely. You can already feel that we are halfway through the month, and with that comes the perfect time to share gifts with those people who make each workday more bearable for us. Some colleagues are starting to go on vacation, so we decided to take the opportunity to give them small gifts as a token of our appreciation and gratitude.
We got up very early, with the enthusiasm of those who know that the day will be very special. We went out shopping, mainly for drinks and some gifts to include in the presents. We wanted each gift to reflect the affection we feel for these wonderful people who, day after day, contribute their effort, their positive energy, and their good attitude to make work flow harmoniously. They are an essential part of our team, and without a doubt, they make everything more enjoyable.
Las navidades siempre traen consigo un aire distinto, una energía especial que transforma la rutina diaria. En nuestro caso, no fue la excepción. Este día fue verdaderamente diferente, lleno de emociones, sonrisas y momentos que quedarán en nuestra memoria. Espero de corazón que el día de ustedes también haya estado colmado de alegría, entusiasmo y gratas sorpresas.
La dinámica de trabajo cambió por completo. Ya se siente en el ambiente que estamos a mitad de mes, y con ello llega el momento perfecto para compartir detalles con esas personas que hacen que cada jornada laboral de nosotros sea más llevadera. Algunos compañeros comienzan a salir de vacaciones, así que decidimos aprovechar la ocasión para entregarles unos detalles de obsequios como muestra de nuestro aprecio y gratitud.
Nos levantamos muy temprano, con el entusiasmo de quienes saben que el día será muy especial. Salimos a hacer unas compras, principalmente bebidas y algunos detalles que formarían parte de los regalos. Queríamos que cada presente refleja el cariño que sentimos por esas personas maravillosas que, día tras día, aportan su esfuerzo, su linda energía y su buena actitud para que el trabajo fluya con armonía. Ellos son parte esencial de nuestro equipo, y sin duda, hacen que todo sea más ameno.
Once the gifts were ready, we set off on our usual work route, although this time with a different vibe. Our second stop was at the Sunsol Unik hotel. There we carried out our tasks as usual, but we also took the opportunity to deliver some gifts. It was a very emotional moment, especially when saying goodbye to some friends who were already leaving on vacation to their hometowns. Knowing that we won't see them until January makes us a little nostalgic, because they have earned our great affection.
Una vez listos los regalos, emprendimos nuestro recorrido habitual de trabajo, aunque esta vez con una vibra distinta. Nuestra segunda parada fue en el hotel Sunsol Unik. Allí realizamos nuestras labores como de costumbre, pero también aprovechamos para entregar algunos obsequios. Fue un momento muy emotivo, especialmente al despedirnos de algunos amigos que ya se marchaban de vacaciones a sus lugares de origen. Saber que no los veremos hasta enero nos da un poco de nostalgia, porque se han ganado nuestro gran cariño.
From there, we headed to the Parque Costa Azul shopping center, which is right next door. We entered through the door called Roble, and as we passed in front of a store, something caught my attention. In the window display, there was a decorative sign with a phrase that really caught my attention:
“To blossom, you must go through all the seasons.”
I paused for a few minutes in front of those words. I found them deeply inspiring. They reminded me that every stage, even the most difficult ones, is part of the process of growth. It was a moment of reflection amid the Christmas hustle and bustle.
Desde allí, nos dirigimos al centro comercial Parque Costa Azul, que queda justo al lado. Entramos por la puerta llamada Roble, y al pasar frente a una tienda, algo captó mi atención. En la vitrina había un cartel decorativo con una frase que me llamó mucho la atención,
“Florecer conlleva pasar por todas las estaciones.”
Me detuve unos minutos frente a esas palabras. Me parecieron profundamente inspiradoras. Me recordaron que cada etapa, incluso las más difíciles, forma parte del proceso de crecimiento. Fue un instante de reflexión en medio del bullicio navideño.
We continued on our way to the maintenance area, where we also took our measurements and provided our details. The ladies in the department welcomed us with immense kindness. They offered us some sweets, and we shared a moment filled with laughter and warmth. It was one of those simple yet profound moments where you feel a human connection.
Seguimos nuestro camino hasta el área de mantenimiento, donde también realizamos nuestras mediciones y entregamos nuestros detalles. Las chicas del departamento nos recibieron con una ternura inmensa. Nos ofrecieron unos dulces y compartimos un rato lleno de risas y mucho cariño. Fue uno de esos momentos sencillos pero profundos, donde se siente la conexión humana.
However, we still had one last mission to accomplish. Our son had asked us for an important favor: to pick up some hard drives at Zoom in Sambil. A few days ago, his main computer stopped working, and that made him quite anxious, since his laptop doesn't allow him to perform all his tasks with the same efficiency. We knew how important it was to him, so we couldn't refuse his request.
Sin embargo, aún nos quedaba una última misión por cumplir. Nuestro hijo nos había pedido un favor importante; recoger unos discos duros en el Zoom del Sambil. Hace unos días, su computadora principal dejó de funcionar, y eso lo tenía bastante ansioso, ya que su laptop no le permite realizar todas sus tareas con la misma eficiencia. Sabíamos lo importante que era para él, así que no podíamos dejar de cumplir su encargo.
Fortunately, everything went well. With the package in hand, we returned home with our hearts full. Despite it being a work day, the dynamic was completely different. We felt happy and comforted. It was a day that reminded us of the value of small gestures, empathy, and sharing.
These days, everything feels different. Christmas has the power to transform the everyday into something special. And so the next few days will continue to be different, emotional, full of light and hope.

Afortunadamente, todo salió bien. Con la encomienda en mano, regresamos a casa con el corazón lleno. A pesar de haber sido un día de trabajo, la dinámica fue completamente distinta. Nos sentimos felices y reconfortados. Fue una jornada que nos recordó el valor de los pequeños gestos, de la empatía y del compartir.
En estos días, todo se siente diferente. La Navidad tiene ese poder de transformar lo cotidiano en algo especial. Y así seguirán siendo los próximos días; distintos, emotivos, llenos de luz y esperanza.
