At the park, before the sun goes down...

in Daily Blog2 months ago

It was 6 in the evening, the sun was about to go down. We were already late to roam around the park. But couldn't resist us from having some refreshing air.

This is the only escape available nearby in this city that is full of concrete.

I'm talking about the Dhanmondi Lake Park in Dhaka, Bangladesh. It's near my living area. But as it's not within walking distance we can't go there often even if we wanted to. You know the terrific traffic in the city!

This lake is huge, It's nearly impossible to cover the whole area by walking. There are many different corners like the open fitness area, the restaurant area, the kid's corner, etc.

You can have a free seat, do your preferred activities, relax, and hang out in this park. It's like a social gathering place for the city dwellers.

Seeing different activities of the people, the excitement, and observing different stranger's faces is kind of like a hobby to me! Probably, I'm the wired neighbor/fried. lol

The night light of this place feels amazing.

Many small bridges connect both sides of the lake. Some of their floor is made out of glass and that looks amazing. During the season, hundreds and thousands of waterlilies would be found in the lake.

All the street food was waving to us and we grabbed some. My husband took the 'Spicy Chanacur' and I took the 'Velpury'. Both of them are very popular street foods, spicy and tangy in flavor. It only costs us $.50 for both.

We moved on to the other side of the park, had a seat, and watched our son running freely on the ground.

It was a relaxing afternoon after many many days. In this city, it's really hard to make room for a time like this. The traffic, and cost of living make things difficult for us.

Sometimes I feel like, we live in a different reality from the rest of the world. Our life is very different from yours for sure. And as I'm living this, I can tell it's more than what you can see in bear eyes.

Nevertheless, we still feel blessed to have this.

Life itself is a blessing.

I love how you describe your experience at Dhanmondi Lake Park. Those moments of tranquility in the midst of urban chaos are really precious. Also, enjoying a nice sunset and street food sounds perfect. ❤️

It was perfect in between all the hustle and bustle of city life. Thanks.

the lights that accompany the place are spectacular, the food looks very appetizing, it is good that they were able to give themselves that space in that quiet place.

It was a nice and peaceful walk around there. Thanks :)
