Hola, Queridos Hivers!

En efecto, hoy fui a ensayar con el coro de la iglesia a la que suelo ir y todo estuvo de maravilla!

Fui a eso de las 2pm a su ensayo, y después de una pequeña reunión que tuvieron los integrantes viejos, comenzó el ensayo.

Repasaron algunas de las canciones que cantarían en la misa, de las cuales agarré algunos ritmos (por suerte, tienen carpetas con partituras, eso hizo el aprendizaje más fácil).

Sin embargo, no las ensayaron todas, así que tuve que usar mi lectura a primera vista jajaja.

Fue divertido, a pesar de que estaba muy nerviosa de equivocarme, no sucedió.
Y bueno, el director me dijo que cuando no me supiera alguna pieza, no había problema si me quedaba callada. Así que las piezas que no me parecían sencillas a primera vista, no las canté.

Me sentí satisfecha conmigo misma y con todo el trabajo que he hecho en mi vida para llegar al punto de ver una partitura y cantarla a primera vista. Un don que creí que no tenía jajaja.

Todo se trabaja 🙏🏼

Claro, aún hay mucho que aprender y que trabajar, pero voy muy bien. 💪🏼

Hello, Dear Hivers!

Indeed, today I went to rehearse with the choir of the church I usually go to and everything was great!

I went around 2pm to their rehearsal, and after a little meeting that the old members had, the rehearsal began.

They went over some of the songs they would sing at mass, from which I picked up some rhythms (luckily, they have folders with sheet music, which made learning easier).

However, they didn't rehearse all of them, so I had to use my sight reading lol.

It was fun even though I was really nervous about making a mistake, I didn't.

And well, the director told me that when I didn't know a piece, it was okay to keep quiet. So the pieces that didn't seem easy to me at first sight, I didn't sing them.

I felt satisfied with myself and with all the work I've done in my life to get to the point of looking at a sheet music and singing it at first sight. A gift I thought I didn't have hahaha.

Everything is worked on 🙏🏼

Of course, there is still a lot to learn and work on, but I'm doing very well. 💪🏼
