Merry Christmas! First of all, let me greet you with a warm hug full of blessings and good wishes. Now that the holiday rush has subsided a bit, I'm sitting down calmly to write these lines to tell you that the other day, while I was doing my Christmas shopping, I went to a very busy shopping mall in a town near my city (Valencia, Venezuela), and of course, I didn't waste any time taking a stroll and admiring all the Christmas decorations. I like the Christmas decorations in shopping malls because they're usually very eye-catching and lavish, as well as enormous 🤗 Of course, they're designed to grab the attention of visitors and attract potential buyers, but at the same time, they serve as striking spots for beautiful photographs, don't they? Well, the thing is, I found a giant Christmas tree—seriously, when I say giant, I'm not exaggerating. It was so big that even though my sister stepped back to take the picture, the whole tree didn't fit in the frame. I think it reached the second floor of the mall.
¡Feliz navidad! Ante todo permítanme saludarlos con un caluroso abrazo cargado de bendiciones y buenos propósitos. Ahora que ya pasó un poco la marea de todas las celebraciones me siento con calma a redactar estas líneas para contarles que el otro día, mientras estaba haciendo mis compras navideñas fui a un centro comercial muy concurrido que está en un municipio cercano a mi ciudad (Valencia en Venezuela) y obviamente no perdí el tiempo para darle un recorrido y admirar todas las decoraciones navideñas que tenían. Me gustan las decoraciones navideñas de los centros comerciales porque por lo general son muy vistosas y fastuosas, además de enormes 🤗 desde luego, están hechas para llamar la atención de los visitantes y atraer posibles compradores, pero a la vez sirven de spots llamativos para hermosas fotografías, ¿no es así? Bueno, el caso es que encontré un árbol de navidad gigante, en serio pero cuando digo gigante no estoy exagerando, era tan grande que a pesar de que mi hermana se alejó para tomar la foto, el árbol no logró salir completo en el cuadre, creo que alcanzaba el segundo piso del centro comercial.
I also liked that they had put a comfortable red armchair for the photographs; this gives it a more homey and personal touch. In addition, later the favorite character of this time of year, Santa Claus, arrived and sat there so that the children had the opportunity to have their picture taken with him.
También me gustó que hubiesen puesto un cómodo sillón rojo para las fotografías, esto le da un toque más hogareño y personal, además, más tarde llegó el personaje favorito de estas fechas, Santa Claus y se sentó allí para que los niños tuvieran la oportunidad de fotografiarse con él.
And of course, we couldn't forget the mailbox with the letters that will go directly "To the North Pole," right? By the way, I was examining it closely, very carefully, and I realized that it would actually be very easy to replicate; you could even use recycled materials. It would be a lovely decoration for a house, but I think I would make it smaller.
Y desde luego no podía faltar el buzón con las cartas que irán directamente "Al Polo Norte" ¿cierto? Por cierto, estuve examinándolo de cerca, muy detalladamente y me di cuenta que realmente sería muy fácil de replicar, incluso se pueden usar materiales de reciclaje. Sería una lindísima decoración para una casa, pero creo que yo lo haría más pequeño.
I think my favorite Christmas decorations are reindeer. I love them, not only because they're cute and cuddly, but also because, according to legend, they're the ones who pull Santa's sleigh around the world. They look adorable there next to the little tree, and I call it "little" because, unlike the other one, this is a petite version. The reindeer were made of carved polystyrene, and I really think the person who made them is very skilled.
Creo que mis elementos navideños favoritos son los renos, me encantan, no solo porque son lindos y tiernos, sino porque según la leyenda son ellos los encargados de llevar el trineo de Santa Claus por todo el mundo. Estos se ven preciosos allí junto al pequeño árbol, y lo llamo "pequeño" porque a diferencia del otro este es una versión petite. Los renos estaban hechos de poliestireno tallado y la verdad es que creo que la persona que los hizo es muy hábil.
Well, we've reached the end of my tour to see the Christmas decorations and gather some ideas, but obviously those will be for next year, haha. Once again, I wish you happiness, harmony, and good health 🤗 and I hope you had wonderful celebrations, filled with lots of family warmth.
Y bueno, hemos llegado al final de mi recorrido para ver las decoraciones navideñas y de paso tomar algunas ideas, pero obviamente ya serán para el año próximo, jaja.
