Went out for my toddler chicken pox vaccine and strolled at the nearest mall after.

It was last July when my son Caleb unfortunately caught HFMD - hand-foot-and-mouth disease. Though it was mild maybe since he is fully vaccinated still it was terrifying. Imagine your one year old baby having blisters and refusing to eat and drink his milk for a day? That is why even though it was expensive I booked an appointment to his Pediatrician for chicken pox vaccine (this wasn't included in vaccines subsidized by the Government.) Per dose cost $68.71 with US to Peso value of Php 58.22. Professional fee is excluded. Thus I was thinking of it much better than to spend more just in case he caught a virus again and I had an anxiety.

Disclaimer: Having vaccine doesn't guarantee not to get infected in case but it lessen the effects.

Our appointment was 10:30 but we left home at nine since I am not fond of Filipino time. Look how excited Caleb was as he understood we were going out. At 16months he could identify which of his shoes are for outside stroll, going out or indoor. Sometimes he won't wear the indoor one and insists on having the other instead . Then tantrums started .

Luckily, there was no traffic so we arrived at the hospital thirty minutes earlier.

Photo was taken while we are waiting at the lobby.

His Tita, who was working at the hospital, accompanies us at the Doctors office.

The vaccination was only quick and had short conversations with the Pedia. I do appreciate that he always recalls my son. He was even like you're heavy already, look how much he has grown.

Afterwards, I decided to drop by at the nearest mall. The goal was to stay first at a cold place so my son won't have a fever as a side effect. Also, just to stroll around, past time.

As the year 2025 soon to end, here comes the marketing strategy. There are sales, huge discounts on shoes and bags yet I'm in my stingy era. It was no longer my priority and the thinking I rather use the money in buying my son's milk and diaper.

What we did instead?

Here are photos with Kuromi themes.

Didn't it's hard to take a photo with a toddler? Oh yes of course just see what are my son's pose

At first at least he sat still but looked at the expressions. Me on the other hand looks sweaty and haggard despite staying at an air conditioned mall. Ah only Mother's with a boy toddler could relate.

The next photos you can see how hypher he was! I think he thought we were playing .

He was currently curious and in the exploring stage. The reason why he wanted to pull some in the backdrop and even untie those ribbons.

What more he no longer wanted to leave and the problem was there are still some people who wanted to have photos too

That ended up him crying but as a toddler after a few minutes of coaxing his fine. He totally forgot about it, especially when I took him for a ride.

Did he enjoy it? Stay tuned in the next blog.

Caleb is growing smart, he is very active. One thing we mom hates but need to do is going to immunization day. The bb would might got fever after but it is a must so the bb have a protection.

First, experiencing fever as a side effect of Immunization was terrible.

Been up the whole night and just carrying my son.

Caleb is a smart little guy! Those little bursts of energy, curiosity and sudden tantrums are only parents with toddlers truly understand. 😀 It’s good that he’s now vaccinated against chicken pox.

Exactly! Hahha, sometimes I could see perhaps a parent laughing at me. Perhaps Amused and see themselves in my situation 🤣

Haha true! Those looks from other parents are like a silent support group, with no judgment, just pure I feel you energy.😅

What a lovely day it turned out for you and Calab. I'm happy you booked the appointment for him and that he feels better now.

Most people actually think that they are diseases free because of the vaccine they took. So, it only reduces the impact but doesn't prevent the disease.

He is fine and thankfully no fever after the vaccine.

Yep, though it really helps a lot.
