Daily Blog - Enjoying the silence of the low season in the hostel: without guests there is more free time to relax. / Disfrutando el silencio de la temporada baja en el hostel: sin huéspedes hay más tiempo libre para descansar. 😃❤️

I think my days in the hostel in Catamarca were the quietest of all. As I chose to travel to this province in the low season, there were hardly any guests in the three weeks or so that I stayed there. This allowed me to have whole days of peace and quiet, where I had all the facilities available to me when I needed to rest. Of course, I did a lot of trekking and hiking, but every now and then, the days alone at home were revitalising ❤️.

Creo que mis días en el hostel de Catamarca fueron los más tranquilos de todos. Como elegí viajar a esta provincia en la temporada baja, casi no hubo huéspedes en las más de tres semanas que me quedé viviendo ahí. Esto me permitía tener días enteros de tranquilidad, en donde tenía todas las instalaciones disponibles para mí cuando necesitaba descansar. Por supuesto aprovechaba para hacer mucho trekking y paseos, pero cada tanto, los días de estar sola en casa eran revitalizadores ❤️.

In order to sustain this nomadic life I need to work a lot, and although it may not seem like it, that can be quite exhausting. To support my unpaid accommodation I have to do some cleaning and reception work in the hostels I go to. Each exchange is different and throughout this year, in some I have had to work much more than in others, but luckily the hostel in Catamarca brought me almost no fatigue because, as there were no people, there was almost nothing to do. What has never changed this year is that I have to dedicate at least 3 or 4 hours a day to my Hive blog to support myself financially, in addition to giving my eventual online classes 😃.

Para lograr sostener esta vida nómade necesito trabajar bastante y aunque no parezca, eso puede ser algo agotador. Para sostener mi alojamiento sin pagar tengo que hacer algunas tareas de limpieza y recepción en los hosteles a los que voy. Cada intercambio es diferentes y a lo largo de todo este año, en algunos he tenido que trabajar mucho más que en otros, pero por suerte el hostel de Catamarca casi no me trajo cansancio porque, como no había gente, no había casi nada que hacer. Lo que nunca cambió en todo este año es que al menos tengo que dedicar unas 3 o 4 horas por día a mi blog de Hive para mantenerme económicamente, además de dar mis eventuales clases online 😃.

When the time at the hostel was over and all my blog activities were done, I still had some time left to take advantage of the good weather in this province. What I liked about this hostel was that its facilities were those of an old mansion. I am sure that in the past this was a big family house with three bedrooms, two bathrooms, a big kitchen and a huge living room. But the part I liked the most was the terrace, from where you could see a bit of the mountains and also some nice sunsets ❤️.

Cuando se terminaba el horario a cumplir en el hostel y todas mis actividades del blog estaban listas, todavía me quedaba un poco de tiempo para aprovechar el buen clima de esta provincia. Lo que me gustaba de este hostel era que sus intalaciones eran las de una casona antigua. Estoy segura de que en el pasado esta era una gran casa familiar con tres habitaciones, dos baños, una gran cocina y un living enorme. Pero la parte que más me gustaba era la terraza, desde donde se podían ver un poco de montañas y también unos lindos atardeceres ❤️.

During my stay in Catamarca I chose a book from the library and it was the one that accompanied me during all those days, when I wanted to do something different from trekking, working or being at the computer. The books I like to read the most are detective novels or love novels: it can be a big contrast, but I like both equally. In this case, I was entertained by a rather cliché romance novel, but the cheesier the better for me. Reading is something I love as much as writing, so this was one of my favourite pastimes on those ‘lonely’ days 😃.

En mi estadía en Catamarca elegí un libro de la biblioteca y fue el que me acompañó durante todos esos días, cuando quería hacer algo diferente a trekking, trabajar o estar con la computadora. Los libros que más me gusta leer son las novelas policiales o de amor: puede ser un gran contraste, pero me gustan ambas por igual. En este caso, me entretuve con una novela de amor bastante cliché, pero mientras más cursi es mejor para mí. Leer es algo que me gusta mucho, tanto como escribir, así que este fue uno de mis pasatiempos preferidos esos días de "soledad" 😃.

Before I started this nomadic journey, one of the things I was worried about was being bored when I was alone. Fortunately, most of the time I was in company and meeting new friends, but the lonely moments came on days like these. In the end, it wasn't as terrible as I thought it would be, because I managed to do things that I enjoyed and occupied my mind with pleasant things. I really enjoyed finding myself and the complete management of my time: I think I am good company myself 😅.

Antes de empezar este viaje nómade una de las cosas que me preocupaban era aburrirme en los momentos en los que estuviera sola. Afortunadamente, la mayor parte del tiempo estuve acompañada y conociendo a nuevos amigos, pero los momentos solitarios aparecieron en días como estos. Al final de cuentas, no fue tan terrible como pensaba, porque me ingenié para hacer cosas que me gustaran y ocuparan mi mente en cosas agradables. Me gustó mucho encontrarme conmigo misma y con el manejo completo de mi tiempo: creo que yo misma soy buena compañía 😅.
