I'm so glad you get along so well with your dad, and that you can spend your vacation time together.

It's a shame some days haven't been the best, but luckily you decided to enjoy it anyway, visiting beautiful places in the city.

I can't believe that after walking to see the waterfall, it was closed. The good thing about the situation is that you shared a delicious lunch, and best of all, it was your dad's invitation.
