A short walk while my city dresses up for Christmas [ENG/ESP]

Hello everyone, sometimes the body and mind need at least a little walk to clear thoughts and not accumulate so many hours in the same place; therefore, after a long time of not having gone for a walk in the center of my city, a small opportunity arose to travel a little further than usual, which was to go buy food for the cats and return home as usual, and on this occasion, the planets aligned, I was able to be with my sister again on another little adventure.

Hola a todos, a veces el cuerpo y la mente necesitan aunque sea caminar un poco para liberar pensamientos y no acumular tantas horas en un mismo sitio; por ende, luego de mucho tiempo de no haber salido a caminar un poco por el centro de mi ciudad, salió una pequeña oportunidad para recorrer un poco más de lo habitual, que era ir a comprar la comida de los gatos y regresar tal cual a casa, y en esta ocasión, alineándose los planetas, pude de nuevo estar con mi hermana en otra pequeña aventura.

So, well, once we'd accomplished our main mission, which was to get the cat food (and luckily, this time I was able to buy more than usual), we started thinking about where we could go next. We both decided to revisit one of the fast-food places we'd already been to and loved, and this time they had different promotions, which we felt were very budget-friendly. Initially, we hadn't planned on buying anything, just walking around and clearing our heads, but when we saw the combo meals, we saw one we couldn't pass up.

Por lo que, bueno, una vez cumplida la misión principal, que era ir por la comida de los gatos (lo cual en esta ocasión, por suerte, pude comprar más de lo que suelo hacer), comenzamos a pensar hacia dónde podríamos ir. Ya a ambas se nos ocurrió volver a visitar uno de los sitios de comida rápida que ya habíamos conocido y que nos había encantado mucho y en esta ocasión tenía promociones diferentes, por lo que sentimos que eran muy convenientes para el presupuesto, y es que en un principio no teníamos pensado comprar nada, solo caminar y despejar la mente, pero al ver los combos, vimos uno que no pudimos dejar de lado.

And this was a promotion of 4 hot dogs for $3, which, with the price increases at most businesses here, was a steal. Besides, the first time we tried it, we were thrilled, so after ordering, we waited patiently while listening to some gossip and looking at other promotions they had, like 2 hamburgers for $3 and others. The thing is, the last time we saw this place from afar, we noticed they had a new sauce, which was spicy, and I was really curious to try it, since my grandmother is the queen of hot sauces.

Y esta era una promoción de 4 perros calientes por 3$, lo cual, con el aumento en los precios de la mayoría de negocios acá, era una ganga. Además, la vez que probamos por primera vez, habíamos quedado encantadas, por lo que luego de pedir la orden, estuvimos esperando atentamente mientras escuchábamos algunos chismes ajenos y veíamos otras promociones que tienen, como la de 2 hamburguesas por 3$ y así otras más. La cosa es que la última vez que vimos este negocio de lejos, nos habíamos fijado en que tenían una nueva salsa, la cual era picante, y a mí me llamaba mucho la atención probarla, ya que la reina de las salsas picantes es mi abuela.

Once they arrived, and after taking a few photos, we took the first bite. The memory and taste of the soft bread washed over us, and it's something I really enjoy. As for the hot dogs, I must say they're very good. Then, after a few bites, I tried the hot sauce, and I have to say it was spicy. It wasn't unbearable heat, but a sharp tingle on the lips that lingers for a while. However, it paired perfectly with the hot dog, which came with a salad that included red cabbage, adding the perfect touch.

Una vez llegaron y, luego de unas cuantas fotos, procedimos a dar el primer mordisco y ese recuerdo y gusto de lo suave del pan nos inundó y es algo que realmente me gusta. En un perrito, sin más, debo decir que son muy buenos y entonces, luego de unas mordidas, probé la salsa picante y debo decir que sí picaba, no es ese picor insoportable, sino ese que es más punzante en los labios y que queda por un rato existiendo; sin embargo, combinaba a la perfección con el perrito, el cual tenía una ensalada que tenía repollo morado y le daba el toque.

After enjoying these hot dogs, we began to slowly walk through the center, noticing that it was already decorated and themed in some places with Christmas decorations. So, without further ado, we walked towards Bolívar Square in my city and, to our surprise, they were in the middle of decorating for the lighting ceremony, which would be the next day, so we sat down and calmly watched everything.

Luego de que degustamos estos perritos calientes, comenzamos a caminar poco a poco por el centro, viendo un poco que ya está decorado y ambientado en algunos lugares con decoración navideña, por lo que, sin más, caminamos hacia la plaza Bolívar de mi ciudad y, para nuestra sorpresa, estaban en plena decoración para lo que sería el encendido de luces, el cual sería el día siguiente, por lo que nos sentamos y estuvimos tranquilas viendo todo.

They were also checking that everything was working and properly lit, along with a stage they were setting up, since there would be live music and dancing at the lighting ceremony (although we couldn't attend because it was so late; however, it was very lively and fun). The thing is, we sat for quite a while watching some people laugh and how, all things considered, it was peaceful. Honestly, I personally needed to get out and walk around a bit, since I fell completely asleep on the way home, which was a good sign.

También estaban checando que todo funcionara y alumbrara bien en conjunto con una tarima que estaban colocando, ya que en el encendido tendrían música y baile en vivo (aunque por lo tarde no pudimos asistir; sin embargo, estuvo muy movido y alegre). La cosa es que estuvimos sentadas un buen rato viendo cómo algunos se reían y cómo incluso estaba dentro de todo tranquilo; la verdad, personalmente me hacía falta salir y recorrer un poco, ya que llegando a casa de regreso quedé completamente dormida, lo cual fue buena señal.
