Youngest son's hospital day and we treat ourselves to dinner at restaurant❣️

in Daily Blog3 months ago

It was a hospital day yesterday for my youngest son, our CDH survivor, this time at the respiratory department. Doctor said that his spine started to curve towards the right side considering his right lung is smaller and lesser volume to hold the spine in place. The doctor did not show much worry yet, just said she will watch again in his teenage years when growth spurt happened, shall see how his body's adjusts in terms of bones and muscles development. Our blessings goes to our son who had gone through so many ups and downs in his life. Such champion is he!

After consulting doctor, we spent some time at the hospital mini park zone to relax and chit chat. At the same time, we explained to him again what the doctor had mentioned, doctor's plan for another lung function done next year and an x-ray done next year to see any scoliosis. He wasn't worry too and just being happy as a child.

Great job for being champion and finally reach the growth chart although just touching the last line, but yay, finally you reach the baseline!

Then, we gave ourselves a treat at Chinese Restaurant called Lala King

We reached home in the evening after the hospital appointments, feeling tired and I really couldn't bring myself to cook. I remembered I had RM30 voucher discount after last Saturday when I gave my brother a crab-birthday-cake treat (I will type on this at below too). So, after we picked up our son from school at 6:45pm (his Year 7 is afternoon session schooling time), off we went to dinner at Lala King to use up my RM30 discount voucher. Yay!

The Food we ordered

Pork Ribs King

This is so far my best and highly recommended from this restaurant. They cooked it so well. This dish is made from deboned pork ribs, soft and juicy meat, deeply fried, and then coated with sweet savoury sauce and drizzled with sesame seeds. So appetizing and delicious.

Prawns and Chinese sausage omelette

Another dish that we always ordered is 'foo rong dan' basically is omelette with ingredients such as onions, Chinese sausage and small prawns inside. It was so yummy, I myself could actually eat the whole thing if there was this chance given. I tried this dish at home but somehow couldn't get the exact taste like in restaurant. I wondered what was the secret ingredients Chinese restaurant used.

Lala in ginger wine soup

This dish is of course THE dish of the restaurant since the restaurant is called Lala King. Haha. They served the best fresh fat plump lala aka clam. It was cooked with very aromatic rice wine soup with ginger. So umami flavour even our boys loved it. And no, we won't get drunk drinking the soup. I think rice wine is okay.

Happy that we got RM30 discount by using the vouchers!

Last Saturday Crab Time with Brother

Last Sundsy was my youngest brother's birthday. He no longer stays nearby me and I quite miss him, hehe. So, I asked him out to give him a treat at his favourite restaurant too, the same restaurant Lala King.

These were the food he ordered

I asked him to order whatever he liked since it was his birthday and crab must be one of them as I wanted to treat him crab. Mind you, it was not cheap anymore that we said that next time we would buy from supplier and cook by ourselves lol.

He ordered an omelette, a sweet potatoes leaves stir fry, pork ribs king, lala soup, pork cube sweet sour and of course butter crab! We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves to the meal, as well as bonding time. My children very like to be with my brother and his wife because they are gamers. Hehehe...

Happy birthday to my youngest brother who looks like Korean. And his wife also looks like Korean. Lol...

Such is my simple writing today on my life. Thank you for reading until this point. Stay blessed wherever you are!

I haven't checked in on you for a while. I am glad your little son is doing okay, and that he is still living the happy life of a child. He looks as if he is enjoying life, and that's good! As usual, your pictures and descriptions of food are fascinating. I never eat any of those things over here. The colors of the decor in that restaurant are truly striking. I think I would enjoy just sitting in there and admiring the bright colors.

Thank God he is growing steadily. And thank you for checking in. 🥰 Those food are from Chinese cuisines, usually savoury.. and yes, it is a nice place to have family dinner.

He is a strong boy and deserves to be served like a king, and you chosen right Restaurant "Lala King" with menu for the king. 😊 God bless your family!

Thank you 🥰
