Sending the men to the airport then visiting my Aunt

in Daily Blog2 months ago

The day started at 6am again because we were ready to send my husband and his brother to airport. They will be flying to another state to attend a friend's wedding. The boys were excited to send them off, saying it was an adventure and also they wanted to eat breakfast together at airport with them. Off we went! It took us one-hour drive to reach airport.

Food District

After walking around at the airport, noticing all the food was so expensive, in the end, we ended up at airport's food court called Food District.

It was a nice environment and super clean too. We loved the seatings here.

The boys ordered fried chicken burgers which came with fries and a canned drink. Honestly, it was a super pathetic meal, the fried chicken was so small, smaller than my palm and my palm was small actually. The fried chicken was smaller than the burger buns. The fries was soggy. Never mind, gave thanks and ate. The price was bombastic too, not cheap at all.

I walked around and found the cheapest food that was wrapped 'nasi lemak' at RM6.90. Thank God my nasi lemak was very delicious. The stall was selling buy 2 free 1 the sweet 'kuih' so I decided to buy in case they boys still felt hungry after their small chicken burger. I bought a peanut mochi, a tapioca yellow kuih and a Pandan coconut milk kuih. The 'kuih-muih' aka sweet snack were all delicious.

My husband ordered a bread toast, coffee and soft-boiled egg for himself. My brother-in-law in the end also bought the delicious affordable 'nasi lemak'.

After going slow at breakfast, it was time to say bye-bye. See you two again soon!!! Enjoy the trip!!!

I took another one hour 20 minutes drive to reach home. It was a tiring drive due to some jam here and there, plus the weather was getting warm at 11am. Phew!

Upon reaching home, I quickly settled some remainder housechores before I proceeded to Aunt's house to visit her.

Visiting Aunt

It is my weekly responsibility to pop in her place to check her out. Recently, she had been complaining about her right leg can be misbehaving by losing senses randomly at any random time. So I wanted to sure she was alright. Reaching her place slightly later that day because I was rushing my housechores.

She was happy to see me and actually told me that day when she walked to nearby small supermarket to buy some vegetables, her right leg suddenly lost some sense and she could not feel her right leg. Fearing she might fell, she quickly sat down at the walking isle. She said that it was an embarrassing situation but better than falling down and knocked her head. Such wise woman. So she was asking me to accompany her to supermarket weekly, every Thursday.

Yummy Lunch!

She thanked God that she still could be active to cook, something she liked to do. She cooked for us Tom Yam ladies finger with prawns and braised chicken drumsticks with barbecue sweet sauce. Super delicious meals!

After that, I took some time to brief her on her upcoming appointments with the doctor. She felt a bit overwhelmed by the many different dates but I told her to focus month by month to cut down self-confusion. She also thanked me again and again because she would be needing my help more often than last time when she was very independent just going around by walking or by bus. I told her to continue to bless herself with vigour and strength. She blessed me too!

She packed the remainder of the lunch for our dinner. I ensured she had enough for her dinner too! 🥰
