2025 was another conflicting year worldwide. For Venezuelans, 2025 has been added to the infamous two-and-a half-decade gallery of political, economic, and human right violation disasters. We ended up the year with more than three months of uncertainty over an armed conflict with the USA. With so many mixed messages and misinformation, only time will tell whether anything good will come out of this mess. For our family, all things considered, things we're not so bad.
2025 was the first Christmas we spent as a nuclear family, away from our extended families. We still have lots a relatives living all over the world and even when they live just some states away, things have got increasingly difficult to visit them or have them visit us.
We continue relying on video calls for special occasions.
We are thankful because @imabby17 will stay in Venezuela longer now and we'll be planning a reunion as soon as possible.
In the meantime, we do our best to keep our hopes high and our entusiasmo and faith in the future intact.
I think 2025 was a pivotal year in many ways, as it brought many changes for me as well, and friends and acquaintances felt the same way.
After the storms come times of calm; let's hope that 2026 will be a year of respite and prosperity for our Venezuela.
