Hola a todos, espero estén muy bien. Hice este post para contarles de mi primer viaje este 2024. Después de más de 10 años volví al pueblito donde viví toda mi infancia. Regresé con mi mamá y mi hija fue una experiencia muy bonita.

Precisamente Iniciar el año viajando es una de la metas de muchos, yo tuve la oportunidad de hacerlo con mi mamá y mi hija Carlota, si han leído mis post anteriores sabrán que mi princesa tiene dos años y que de uno u otra manera siempre está vinculada con mis publicaciones.
Precisely to start the year traveling is one of the goals of many, I had the opportunity to do it with my mom and my daughter Carlota, if you have read my previous posts you will know that my princess is two years old and that in one way or another she is always linked to my publications.
Soy venezolana, desde hace ocho años vivo en Lima, pero estoy pasando unas vacaciones largas en Venezuela con mi madre y para aprovecharlas al máximo hemos decidido viajar a Boconó, un pequeño pueblo donde nació mi mamá y donde me crié hasta los doce años.
I am Venezuelan, I have been living in Lima for eight years, but I am spending a long vacation in Venezuela with my mom and to make the most of it we decided to travel to Boconó, a small town where my mom was born and where I grew up until I was twelve years old.
Fue una estadía de tres días, donde disfrutamos del paisaje, nos reencontramos con amigos de la infancia de mi mamá y recordamos diferentes momentos. Volver fue como si el tiempo no hubiera pasado. Sin en marco Sus calles y avenidas se sintieron pequeñas, creo que es una sensación al compararlas con las amplias vías de una ciudad como Lima, Perú donde he vivido los últimos años.
It was a three-day stay, where we enjoyed the scenery, reconnected with my mom's childhood friends and reminisced about different moments. Coming back was as if time had not passed. Its streets and avenues felt small, I think it is a sensation when compared to the wide roads of a city like Lima, Peru where I have lived the last few years.
Viajamos en auto desde Barquisimeto, la ciudad donde actualmente vive mi mamá, fueron cinco horas de carretera donde pudimos disfrutar de paisajes del llano venezolano y luego la vista comienza a cambiar para mostrar montañas con una vegetación de un clima más templado. Boconó está ubicado al sureste del estado Trujillo, su clima es templado con una temperatura promedio de 18° un clima de montaña.
We traveled by car from Barquisimeto, the city where my mom currently lives, it was a five hour drive where we were able to enjoy landscapes of the Venezuelan plains and then the view begins to change to show mountains with vegetation of a more temperate climate. Boconó is located southeast of Trujillo state, its climate is temperate with an average temperature of 18°, a mountain climate.
¿Te ha pasado que luego de mudarte a otra ciudad, o país extrañas alguna bebida, un plato, lugar específico, actividad? A mi me pasó eso con las “Malteadas La Paz”, te cuento un poco. Se trata de unas bebidas elaboradas a base de leche, con sabores artificiales, espesas y mucho hielo.

Es una “fuente de soda” que ha pasado de generación en generación, tiene más de 60 años, fue fundada en 1961, incluso mi mamá la visitaba de niña. Es una parada imperdible y volver a tomarla fue como la famosa escena de la película Ratatouille donde el crítico de comida Anton Ego se traslada a su infancia luego de probar un bocado del plato que le preparan.
It is a "soda fountain" that has passed from generation to generation, it is more than 60 years old, it was founded in 1961, even my mom visited it as a child. It is an unmissable stop and going back to drink it was like the famous scene in the movie Ratatouille where the food critic Anton Ego goes back to his childhood after tasting a bite of the dish prepared for him.
Mi favorita siempre fue la de sabor a fresa y la de mi mamá la leche malteada. Fue lindo volver al mismo local que iba de niña.
My favorite was always the strawberry flavored one and my mom's was the malted milk. It was nice to go back to the same place I used to go as a child.
Otra de las experiencias que disfrutamos fue la de ir al mercado de productores y agricultores, es un espacio donde se reúnen los campesinos a ofrecer lo que recogen de su cosechas, frutas, verduras, hortalizas, incluso venden gallinas y pollitos para su cría. Carlota disfrutó de la fresas y quería llevarse un par de pollitos a la casa.
Another experience we enjoyed was going to the producers and farmers market, it is a place where farmers gather to offer what they gather from their crops, fruits, vegetables, vegetables, they even sell chickens and chicks for breeding. Carlota enjoyed the strawberries and wanted to take a couple of chicks home.
Cómo el viaje coincidió con la fecha de la “Bajada de Reyes” visitamos algunas iglesias y Carlota vivió a tradición de dejar un zapato en el pesebre para que los Reyes Magos le trajeran dulces.
As the trip coincided with the date of the "Bajada de Reyes" we visited some churches and Carlota lived the tradition of leaving a shoe in the manger for the Three Wise Men to bring her sweets. .
La verdad fue un viaje muy familiar, en estos pequeños pueblos se disfruta mucho de lo poco; la tranquilidad de sus calles, la amabilidad de su gente, la sencillez del día a día pero principalmente de los recuerdos, de lo vivido. Estamos planeando volver el
próximo mes por las fiestas de Carnaval, espero que así sea para contarles esa experiencia.
The truth is that it was a very familiar trip, in these small towns you enjoy the little things; the tranquility of its streets, the kindness of its people, the simplicity of the day to day but mainly the memories, the lived experiences. We are planning to return next month
next month for the Carnival festivities, I hope we will be able to tell you about this experience.
