Los niños y las comparsas
Como en la mayoría de los carnavales, los trajes de princesas no pudieron faltar, pero también vimos niñas vestidas con atuendos de personajes como Alicia en el País de las Maravillas, Reina de corazones, trajes inspirados en flora y fauna, también haciendo alusión al cuidado ambiental usando material de reciclaje.
The children and the troupes
As in most carnivals, the costumes of princesses could not be missing, but we also saw girls dressed in costumes of characters such as Alice in Wonderland, Queen of Hearts, costumes inspired by flora and fauna, also alluding to environmental care using recycled material.
Las carrozas
A pesar de los pocos recursos con los que cuentan las personas, lo que más destaca es la imaginación y creatividad, pudimos ver a Campanita, el genio de Aladdin, un oso polar que estaba iluminado con luces de colores y un dragón haciendo alusión a la celebración del nuevo año chino.
The floats
Despite the limited resources that people have, what stands out the most is the imagination and creativity, we could see Tinkerbell, the genie from Aladdin, a polar bear that was illuminated with colored lights and a dragon alluding to the celebration of the Chinese New Year.
Las bandas
Un carnaval no sería una fiesta completa sin la música, y ésta estuvo a cargo de más de 10 bandas secas de diferentes instituciones educativas, algunas de Boconó y otras de estados cercanos como las de Maracaibo estado Zulia, todas con un repertorio impecable, canciones muy alegres que hacían bailar a todos, sus trajes eran llamativos y muy coloridos.
The bands
A carnival would not be a complete party without music, and this was in charge of more than 10 dry bands from different educational institutions, some from Boconó and others from nearby states such as Maracaibo, Zulia state, all with an impeccable repertoire, very happy songs that made everyone dance, their costumes were flashy and very colorful.
La familia
Lo más lindo de estos carnavales fue el reencontrarnos con familiares amigos que desde hacía años no veíamos y conocer a los nuevos miembros de la familia. Todos los años hay una comisión que se encargada de elaborar camisas iguales para que de esta manera tengamos un lindo recuerdo, la usan desde los más pequeños hasta los más grandes.
The family
The most beautiful thing about these carnivals was the reunion with family friends that we had not seen for years and meeting the new members of the family. Every year there is a committee that is in charge of making the same shirts so that we can have a nice souvenir, from the youngest to the oldest.
Es muy lindo tener la posibilidad de compartir estos momentos, principalmente para los pequeños que disfrutan al máximo de estas fechas. Estos fueron los primeros carnavales de Carlota y no creo que ella lo recuerde pero yo no olvidaré lo que disfrutó y se divirtió durante estos tres días.
It is very nice to have the opportunity to share these moments, especially for the little ones who enjoy these dates to the fullest. These were Carlota's first carnivals and I don't think she remembers it but I won't forget what she enjoyed and had fun during these three days.
Sé que no son los famosos carnavales de Río en Brasil, pero para los habitantes de este humilde pueblito del estado Trujillo en Venezuela, es la fiesta más esperada del año, incluso a los días de terminar la celebración ya están pensando en los traje y las temáticas del próximo año.
I know they are not the famous carnivals of Rio in Brazil, but for the inhabitants of this humble little town in the state of Trujillo in Venezuela, it is the most awaited party of the year, even a few days after the end of the celebration they are already thinking about the costumes and themes for next year.
