An Invitation To A Friend's Birthday

in Daily Blog6 months ago (edited)

Greetings Everyone. Have you ever tried celebrating your birthday and going out of funds? Have you ever gotten the money to celebrate your birthday and something more important that involves life and death takes the lead? But today, everything was fully in place.

However, I am not a fan of birthdays, I only celebrate, if my mind tells me so. But when it comes to others, I follow them to celebrate, if they so wish to celebrate theirs.

I will not say that, because I don't like celebrating birthdays, I will not also celebrate with others. No, that is against the rule of nature. I celebrate you if you call me because it is your life and not my life. Moreover, my principles are mine and not yours. This is the place, I drew a crossroad between what I share with my friends.

As a writer and a lover of nature, I would like to share my today's experience with you. Just keep reading to unravel what I have kept for you.

Nonetheless, today is my friend's birthday and as usual, he invited me over. As I was preparing for the birthday party, trying to look for a cloth to match the event. The rain began to fall heavily. It was 5 minutes into the rain, that I discovered that the shirt I wanted to wear was outside taking a share of her grace. I know you heard me. Rainfalls or persay, raindrops, are indeed blessings to humankind. Nevertheless, let's postpone this topic for another day.

When I discovered that, I wasn't happy, because I had already planned to use that cloth. Nevertheless, since that has happened, I have to look for another alternative.

After the raindrops had stopped, I took another shirt, with a trouser jeans to match and set off for the party. Since I am not a fan of pictures, I just took one snap.

However, the birthday party was fun, there was alot to drink and eat, if you hadn't come, you have missed a big deal. As I was going home, I had to whisper to a friend for some packages. And he helped me with some Afanga soup and a big cooler of Jollof rice(student-size). These miscellaneous that gave me didn't add up to the cash gifts that he gave me. The birthday was a hit.

Just as my lecturer, Prof. Stephen Inegbe will say, "Birthdays Are For The Living". After I read this playtext, I began to view life from another dimension. But, it was today, that discovered another living being in birthday celebrations. Today, was indeed great. And I hope you enjoyed my write-up.

Thank You All.
