Hello everyone! It's Sunday here in the Philippines. I hope you are all doing well. I'll be sharing with you our unexpected visit to a Doctor for a consultation just this morning.
Health is wealth. I heard it so many times, especially during sickness. People would say it to encourage someone to go for a check-up or to take treatments regarding health issues and concerns. When we are healthy, it gives us the freedom to do everything we want. It makes us more productive and have a better outcome on whatever we do.
Lately, my wife suffered a headache. She took paracetamol tablets thinking that it would be treated. Before New Year's Eve, her headache was tolerable. When classes resumed on the 2nd day of this month, she was complaining about the increasing level of pain in her head. She told me to prepare some herbal juices as she thinks it would relieve her suffering.
Until yesterday, she was just taking a herbal tea. But it did not take away the pain she felt. We were not able to have a good sleep; she already cried because of the pain. I told her that we'll go to a doctor for a check-up. She said no at first because she can't walk properly as if her head will fall on the floor. But I insisted and forced her to go with me to the doctor.
I asked in our school's group chat about which medical clinic in Bogo City is open today. One of my colleagues sent me a private message and recommended one of the clinics and offered us to write down our name at the clinic for an appointment since many patients will line up every weekend. I am very thankful to Ma'am Elgie for that. We waited for her confirmation before we departed from our residence. After a few minutes, she informed me that we were already number 12 on the list. I thank her, and we then went to the said clinic.
When we arrived at the clinic, there were people waiting for the doctor to start the check-up. The doctor starts her consultation at 9:30. I thought we'd be waiting for an hour or more for our turn. The doctor's assistant asked me if we have a laboratory already; I answered no, and she asked her co-worker about my wife's detail. She then told me that we'll be next to enter the consultation room.
The assistant called us, and we entered and greeted Dr. Christina, the managing director of Christina Laboratory and Diagnostic Center. My wife explained everything to her. Dr. Christina also explained the possible causes of her headache. She even recommended a CT scan to be sure. But if there is no improvement after two days of taking her prescriptions.
She also told my wife to avoid drinking coffee and taking foods with monosodium glutamate and other seasonings. My wife is possibly suffering a migraine if there's no issue in her head. Hopefully there's none. Dr. Christina also recommended having rest and avoiding doing activities that might trigger her headache.
We went to the pharmacy located beside the clinic and bought the prescribed medicines. Ma'am Elgie messaged me that she'll give us a spinefoot fish. I replied to her that we'll have our breakfast first at Crispy King. Just a walking distance from the clinic. We met there, and we thank her for her efforts today. She also wishes that my wife will be fine after taking the medicines.
The spinefoot fish ma'am Elgie gave us. She even put an ice to make the fish still fresh as we arrive home.
Before heading home, we bought nut shell helmets intended for our nearby travel. We also bought our son shoes and pants because he's been doing great these days. He washed our clothes and assisted me in taking care of her mom. I always encourage him that one day he will become a doctor.
The two helmets we bought. I did not notice that there is a scratch at the back part of one of it.
After our quick shopping, we head home, and when we arrived, I received messages from my close friends and relatives asking about what happened. I just said we're fine and thanked them for their concern. I hope and pray that my wife will be okay after taking the prescribed medicines. I was worried about her, and it's making our situation more difficult.
Health is really wealth. We need to take care of it even if it costs thousands before it becomes worse. Let's look forward to health and well-being. Thank you for taking your time reading my blog today. Till next time.

I totally agree to that "Health is Wealth"
Thank you for taking the time to read my blog. Yes, because if we are ill, we cannot work well. But if we are healthy, the necessary activities can be done.
Yes indeed, have a nice day😊
