Today is a beautiful Tuesday because we woke up to a beautiful ray of sunshine this morning. But not really, I mean, because we have a lot to do, Haha. Particularly washing our dirty clothes. Because it has been raining for several days, that's why I have been unable to do laundry. I'm not wealthy enough to purchase a washing machine with spinner, so even if it rains every day, it will be okay cause I have a washing machine with spinner; lil wind, and then it will be tuyo na. Haha, how I wish I could afford washing soon. Lol.

My husband and I went to the market because Tuesday is market day here in our area. After we washed the laundry, my husband also helped me. Even though I was tired, my son and I still went with him so we could go out sometimes.
We arrived at the market at 12 p.m., and the other sellers had already set up their stalls because they were going home. Because they only stayed at our market until 12 p.m. perhaps they were still far from home. During market day, many people come here to sell. And for us, this is also a great time to buy fish for a week if you want to save money because the other sellers here are selling their fish at low price so they can sell it quickly. If you come here early in the morning, everything is expensive.

We passed through the back of the market, and the first thing we saw were the vendor selling dried fish. There were a lot of sellers here, both dried and salty, with large and small fish and dried shrimp. My husband purchased dried shrimp, which is delicious to add to any vegetable dish; he actually chooses what to buy because he is the one who cook.

There are also many sellers of ingredients; like garlic, ginger, onion, laurel, oil, and many more. you can get them for a low price per kilo on market days, especially if you have a grocery sari-sari store.

We also went to the thrift store. I spent a few minutes looking for something for my son, but I couldn't find anything because everything was outdated. However, my husband found pants for 75 pesos only. I didn't snap a photo because I was holding my son. But he really liked what he choose, haha.

We go to the fish market, and this is the only one we found for sale; nearly all of the fish are the same but in different stalls. You have no choice because those are the only options available. And I don't believe it's cheap at this time because it appeared that the price of the fish they were selling had not changed. Lol

And this is what my husband chose: the large fish worth 240 pesos, He said he really liked this fish, particularly when served with coconut milk and other ingredients. I don't know what its called, but he said it's lapu-lapu, which I'm not sure if is true lol. And we bought the small fish for only 50 pesos each, and there are plenty. This fish is perfect for paksiw na viand, hehe.

we buy some veggies, the ones that are already cut and put in plastic. One pack costs 30 pesos if you buy two pcs it's only 50 pesos. We call it pakbet because variety of vegetables put in the plastic.

We also bought a puto, donut, bibingka, kutchenta and baye-baye. Ita our snack in the afternoon pair with coffee or hot chocolate. 😋

The exciting part is being able to eat lomi after shopping in the market, which is extremely hot haha. We keep coming back to this restaurant for batchoy and lomi because the food is so good.

Looks like there are a lot of ingredients in their lomi; they put in cabbage, liver, carrots, and lots of egg. I put Calamansi, soy sauce, and pepper to add a flavor hehe. and hmm it tastes so good. But their serving is too much for me for 75 pesos only.

My son was relieved when his father fed him lomi soup, and he stopped crying. He really loves to eat haha, lol.

This is their menu, and I believe their prices are reasonable given the high quality and deliciousness of their food. We order another serving of lomi for my father and head home.

That's all for today and Thankyou for reading my post, see you on my next blog. Peace and love. 🫶🏻
