Happy holidays to all and I wish you a happy whatever it is you celebrate. In years past I firmly stuck to solstice celebrations, this year, however, I am joining my family for a Christmas Eve celebration and all of the festivities that surround it.
To me, the most joyful part of the season is the rainy weather that we are enjoying here in Northern California. Normally, when I visit in spring there are some light showers. These past few days have been mostly rainy, foggy, and with layers of lovely leaves covering the paths I walk.
Indoors the climate is warm, smelling of pine cones and winter-themed candles. In my bedroom an incense stick is often alight as I organize the craft supplies, books, and crystals that I have collected here over the years.
And, of course, there are the presents. Normally I miss this holiday and neither gift or receive anything. This year I have bought and made a few thoughtful things for my parents, sister, and sister's boyfriend. Mostly self care supplies like skin creams and candles and a book for each person too.
And for a family gathering that will include a white elephant gift-giving segment, I was at a loss as to what to bring. Then, suddenly, it hit me!
Cannabis products go over quite well with the California-based family of all ages so, here is the gift destined for a member of my extended family.
