Ayer, tuve la oportunidad de ser Mentora del Bootcamp; y si me hubiesen dicho a inicios de año que estaría explicando la importancia de las comunidades en la Web3; pues no lo creería.

Mi día inicio temprano; porque si algo le pasa a mi cuerpo, es que cuando estoy nerviosa, el descanso, no se me dá bien.
Inicié mi día a a las 6am con un desayuno nada ligero. (Café con cachapa de maíz pilado con queso)

Tenia pendiente reunirme con Yedid; parte del Equipo de MKT Community; reunirnos un poco antes para checar que todo estuviese en orden con la transmisión; me dio un poco de pesar con ella pues la diferencia horaria entre Venezuela y México es de 2h; pero también agradecí enormemente la reunión; pues tuvimos un par de problemas de audio y cortesía del maravilloso internet CANTV de Venezuela.

Luego de resolver la falla técnica, se hizo la hora de iniciar.

Esperando que llegasen los estudiantes; colocamos un par de canciones para animar el ambiente; mientras por mensajeria privada, conversaba con Valeria; otro miembro del Equipo, quien nos apoyaria con la entrega de POAPS para los asistentes.
Comenzamos con una pequeña charla de la Inter operatividad de la blockchain de AXELAR.

Donde se resolvieron dudas y preguntas relacionadas a la blockchain y luego, fue mi turno de iniciar con mi ponencia, llamada “Forja Comunidades Web3 Comprometidas”

Confieso que estaba NERVIOSA. Sé que muchas personas se sientes como peces en el agua, al dar una ponencia; pues NO ES MI CASO.
Pero, gracias a Dios, todo salió bien; me enrede un par de veces, pero los oyentes estaban dispuestos a escuchar y participar en la clase.
Después de todo, no podía dar una clase sobre comunidad; sin interactuar con la Comunidad.

Expliqué temas como el concepto de Comunidad, diferencias entre seguidores y comunidad; los tipos de comunidad y herramientas necesarias para construir una comunidad desde cero; asi como también hablé un poquito sobre las DAO’s y el Metaverso.
A pesar de ser la hablante; mi intención inicial y principal fue hacer la charla lo más interactiva posible; explicando con terminología sencilla; clara e incluso usando expresiones coloquiales; desde mi punto de vista, logré el objetivo.
Al terminar; noté que ya éramos más de 40 personas en la sesión; pensando en eso felicitamos a Herimax; un miembro muy activo de la comunidad WEB3 y terminamos con una de preguntas y respuestas.

¿Fue perfecto? No, sé que tuve fallas de dicción y explicación por los nervios; incluso tuve que improvisar un poco porque se me olvidaban explicar algunas cosas.

¿Lo repetiría? ¡Por supuesto!

Soy fiel creyente de que enseñando de aprende y que la única forma de tener más seguridad al explicar un tema es, valga la redundancia explicándolo un par de veces.

Si hay algo que he aprendido este año, es que no hay que tenerle miedo a fallar y hay que estar en constante crecimiento personal y aprendizaje.

Yesterday, I had the opportunity to be a Bootcamp Mentor; and if I had been told at the beginning of the year that I would be explaining the importance of communities in Web3; I would not believe it.
My day started early; because if something happens to my body, it's that when I'm nervous, I'm not good at resting.

I started my day at 6am with a light breakfast (coffee and corn cachapa pilado with cheese).

I had to meet with Yedid; part of the MKT Community Team; we met a little earlier to check that everything was in order with the transmission; I was a little sorry to her because the time difference between Venezuela and Mexico is 2 hours; but I also greatly appreciated the meeting; because we had a couple of audio problems and courtesy of the wonderful internet CANTV of Venezuela.

After solving the technical failure, it was time to start.

Waiting for the students to arrive; we played a couple of songs to liven up the atmosphere; while by private messenger, I talked with Valeria; another member of the team, who would support us with the delivery of POAPS for the attendees.

Where doubts and questions related to the blockchain were solved and then, it was my turn to start with my presentation, called “Forge Engaged Web3 Communities”.

I confess I was NERVOUS. I know that many people feel like fish in water when giving a lecture; NOT ME.
But, thank God, everything went well; I got tangled up a couple of times, but the listeners were willing to listen and participate in the class.
After all, I could not teach a class on community; without interacting with the Community.

I explained topics such as the concept of Community, differences between followers and community; the types of community and tools needed to build a community from scratch; as well as a little bit about the DAO's and the Metaverse.
Despite being the speaker; my initial and main intention was to make the talk as interactive as possible; explaining with simple terminology; clear and even using colloquial expressions; from my point of view, I achieved the goal.
At the end; I noticed that we were already more than 40 people in the session; thinking about that we congratulated Herimax; a very active member of the WEB3 community and we finished with a question and answer session.

Was it perfect? No, I know I had diction and explanation failures due to nerves; I even had to improvise a little bit because I forgot to explain some things.

Would I do it again? Of course!

I am a true believer that by teaching you learn and that the only way to be more confident in explaining a topic is, redundantly, by explaining it a couple of times.

If there is one thing I have learned this year, it is not to be afraid to fail and to be in constant personal growth and learning.
