Capstone Project Preview: I Think I Just Saw My Future

in Daily Blog8 months ago

The opening of another school year is fast approaching. I think I haven't been able to enjoy my vacation from all of the activities I had coming from the organizations I've joined. They might have saved me from boredom in my dormitory but I sacrificed some of my rest days for them. Anyway, only a week left and classes will finally start.

One last fine Sunday, I have meet my cousin again to attend the Sunday Mass. It's our favorite kind of bonding if the stars aligned for us, to tail each other on our free time. But before I meet her at downtown, I have gone to the east first to borrow the Black Toga for the Graduation pictorial from my classmate who was working at the mall. She was too generous for lending it to us for free when her mother was asking other people to rent it. Supposedly, she should join us at the pictorial but she wasn't available at the time because she couldn't file for leave from her work.

Moving on, I received a message from my cousin after that saying that we should attend the mass together, and I immediately agreed. Well, it's for church anyway and we're only seeing each other rarely these days since we're both now busy dealing with our own lives. We are both working students but just different jobs and our homes are a bit far from each other. That being said, most of the Sunday Mass turned into chitchats to catch up.

After spending an hour for the church, she excused herself because she had to to go her friend's house to finalize their Capstone Project manuscripts. I've got nothing to do thereafter, so I tagged along. She bought Bibingka outside the church and we both bought Lemonades at downtown for the sun was still scorching hot at 3:00 pm.

My curiosity about the project deepened as I would be taking up my Capstone Project on this incoming semester. Not one student in the campus would tell me that it wasn't stressful if I asked around, so I want to see it for myself. How hard it can be and how expensive it could costs?

Her groupmates were all busy with the revisions and the others were printing the manuscripts. We came there afternoon but the workloads made us stay all night. Just for one graph and charts, they were already struggling from editing it. Then, even with the printing process, it took much time from syncing the layouts to the Printer's options. They have consumed 2 rims of bond papers already but it wasn't still enough to print all the needed copies for submission.

It made us stay up until midnight to finish all of that. Fortunately, her friend's father have a tricycle to send us all home or else the finalizing of their manuscripts would turn into an instant sleepover.

From the glimpses of their workloads, I think I just saw my future from that. It would be a series of stress from dealing with your groupmates' attitudes, brainstorming of all the contents, Panel defense, signature for approvals, printing of manuscripts, late night finalizations, and huge expenses. They even said that in the process of making your Capstone Project or Thesis, it can test the years of friendship of the group, and they were right for it.

That's why I have decided after being with them for a night that I will buy a printer before I take my Capstone Project. With that, I could lessen my expenses from printing and I wouldn't struggle from traveling to anyone's home in the middle of the night. They all agreed with it!

That's all from me, folks. Thanks for reading!

hehe, I’m also feeling nervous about our Capstone project, which will probably start in the second semester. Laki ng magagastos kaya magsisimula na ako magtipid hahaha

Forda ipon na starting now nuh. Malaki talaga expenses niyan, lalo na sa Consultants 🥹
