I might regret my life for the past 10 years because of many things. Especially my messy lifestyle. I have been very mean to my body, doing many stupid things, one of which is not realizing the importance of health and exercise.
Until finally, diabetes came to me. Two years ago, I felt like I was hit by lightning. I even felt very unworthy to live again, after the doctor said that I had become a diabetes patient. I was very devastated after a miscarriage and loss of a fetus, then I was hit by another storm, diabetes has become my lifelong illness.
It's not that I don't accept reality, but I feel that my life has gone very far back. How could that happen at the age of 28. I am not smoker, i don't drink alcohol, but I am a sugar addict. I have consumed sugar for years, not because of the sugar either, but because I don't understand about portions and I am very lazy to exercise.
Then, after getting the bad news, I immediately changed my lifestyle for the better. One of them is I exercise regularly. At first I only liked to jog in the park, then added the intensity of walking and running. After that I felt bored. I want something more than this, more challenging.
Being someone who uses insulin every day, I feel very bored having to inject it into several parts of my body. It hurts so much, but I'm so bored, feeling all that is very complicated. I have to inject it into my body before eating, it's very inconvenient if I eat outside the house.
Finally I decided to do weight training. You often see me almost every day at the gym. You could say I'm a gym rat. I've been in the gym for almost 2 years, I'm already proficient now, even more like a pro with various forms of strength training.
Every morning I target my time to train at the gym for almost 2 hours, depending on what kind of training I'm going to do. However, strength training alone is not enough to make my blood sugar normal now, I also make food that is suitable for diabetes.
My main exercise when training at the gym is actually very simple. I follow some basic exercises on YouTube. There are many celebrities or pro people who are experts in the gym making videos about proper exercise education. There are many inspiring people. I really like to see some exercises that I think are suitable for my body, especially if it is related to leg exercises.
I really like leg exercises. I want to have muscles in the glutes, I want to have a beautiful body like a Spanish guitar. But, having glutes is not easy. Especially for women, muscles tend to be difficult to form because of different hormones from men. Testosterone. Women don't have enough of it compared to men.
So, for women who are afraid of having muscles, believe me, it won't be easy. You're just afraid of looking bulkier, even though that's not how it works. Do I look very scary with a lot of muscles? of course not. Muscles can only be flexed when you've just pumped up while exercising at the gym.
