Hi, dear Hivers
Holy week is over and I'm on my way back to Puerto Ordaz, but I wanted to share with you a few pictures from my quick visit to San Luis beach in Cumaná.
This was yesterday. So far, we had not been able to go to the best beaches here, which are in Araya or Mochima. It is expensive and it requires some extra logistic work.
So, my mom and I went to the local beach here, which was crowded (as always these days).
I do not like the beach too much, unless there are many friends who can make it fun. But I have not been in contact with most of my friends from elementary school (I left Cumaná when I was in 5th grade), so it was just my mom and I. She really needed to come to the beach. That's what people do in Semana Santa; that's what you share with your friends in the cities where there is no beach 😂
We had a good time. We spent only a couple of hours here, ate some snacks and fruits and then I was back at my dad's.
We were supposed to go out in the evening to eat hotdogs at a friend's who just started his own business, but transportation was an issue (the streets looked like an apocalyptic movie). So, we could not go and my dad had to prepare a light dinner.
It is a bit frustrating to have so many limitations here. One needs a car, but then there is the gas scarcity problem, and because of that, transportation is now a problem, so one cannot make many plans, especially at night.
