As for the books...time to go to the library again. It used to be my retreat when my kids were little. I'd hire a babysitter so I could go sit in the library. And, when my son was growing up, and we were looking for something to do in an afternoon, he'd say (little as he was), "Let's go to Walden Books." Our favorite bookstore to hang out.
Today, bookstores in my area are more like coffee shops. Crowded and people go there to socialize...not my thing. So it's the library for me. Thanks for the reminder :)
the modern era looks crowded and full of manipulation. A bookstore with a coffee shop style might seem too "socialite" and that's definitely not comfortable.
I remember when I was in college, there was a big library and I could be there all day. But the negative effect was, I didn't have friends because my friends were busy hanging out while I only thought about the best future for my life.
It's good that you have someone who helps you and makes you feel like yourself.
When you have children, there are many people who lose their identity.
