Well, here we are again in the new era of Ranked Rewards. Although this is coming near the end of Ranked Rewards Season 45, this summary is for Season 44. My approach to Season 44 was quite different from Season 43 since this would be the last season with chest prizes for daily and seasonal rewards. I decided to spend most of my time playing all the available tournaments (except for Regular Foil Bronze League events) and had the bot up and running for most of my ranked play in Wild. Let's check out the results!

All in all, I would say that S131 was a huge success! XBot managed to secure a Top 10 position on the Wild Leaderboard, finishing 8th overall for an added 60K DEC to my end of season earnings. I maxed out all 150 champion chests for the seasonal rewards and would earn in the high 20s when it came to the daily reward chests. I was definitely trying to take advantage of the last season with reward chests, so I was also buying about 24 extra energy with vouchers each day.
XBot was battling at a 54% win rate over 766 total battles in Wild without any of the Beta legendary summoners and quite a few key monsters missing from my Wild collection. I also managed to sneak in about 100 battles in Modern at a 56% win rate, playing my account back into low Champion 3. Truth be told, I was so busy making sure I competing in my scheduled two or three tournaments per day, so I was quite pleased to allow the bot to automate in Wild most of the time.

I had a lot of fun battling in tournaments this season, especially the Gold Foil events that my main account is specifically set up for. As stated above, I decided to join all tournament events except for all Novice and regular foil Bronze League events. In total, I joined 34 SPS DAO tournaments, so let's dig a little deeper into the numbers since this is where I spent most of my free time battling in Splinterlands.
Despite my efforts to play in all registered tournaments consistently this season, I still unfortunately no-showed (8) or 1-loss dropped (2) in 10 of the tournaments I registered for, which is far too many. Of the 24 tournaments I played out completely, I managed to make Day 2 in 14 of them. Notably, I also earned prizes in 14 of the events, but interestingly, there was one event where I earned a prize with only a Day 1 finish and there was one event where I managed to play on Day 2 but did not make it into the prizes at all.
In total, I earned an additional 4259 SPS from tournament play in S131, which is a very nice chunk of crypto for my time spent engaging in some of the highest-stakes and most competitive battles available in Splinterlands. Only counting the 24 events I played in, I earned about 177 SPS per event entered. I'm curious if I will do better in events during S132. Only time will tell, now on to the ranked rewards!

With the regular foil Chaos Legion soulbound set already complete, my entire focus has been trying to plug up the holes I still have in my Gold Foil soulbound collection. I managed to open 127 Gold Foil soulbound cards, but sadly only opened a precious few Gold Foil cards I needed to help me complete my GF set. First World Splinterlands problems for sure.
I managed to accumulate another 6000 potions during the Ranked Rewards season, about 3000 of each, but I sure won't miss opening these in my rewards chests. Hopefully this amount of potions will last me well into the next base card set after Rebellion, since I have early 14000 of each at this time! I also earned nearly 44000 merits, which allowed me to open 22 gladius cases to increase my gladiator collection. This is something I am very keen to do with my glint in the new ranked rewards system since I am still a bit away from being able to max out my gladiator collection.
Since SPS wasn't available in the seasonal rewards due to the ranked rewards overhaul, my 2066 SPS earned from ranked play were all in daily focus chests. I also earned nearly 3000 SPS just from my 472 wins in ranked play, although only 57 of those wins came in Modern where the SPS rewards are nearly doubled.

I rented a single card to get enough CP to enter the Wild Gold Foil Diamond tournament, but after targeting a few Untamed Gold Foil cards underpriced in the market, I won't have to rent for this tournament anymore. CP is strong!

Look at those juicy brawl rewards! Tier 5 is really bringing in some serious coin. With four completed brawls over the 18-day season, I earned around 668 SPS per brawl, which is an outstanding return for brawling with Shield of Glory, the top-ranked guild in the entire Splinterverse!
Combining my net SPS earnings of 10150 with my tournament haul of 4259 SPS leaves me with a total of 14409 SPS earned for the full S131. At the modest .015 USD price currently, that's still another 216 USD added to my bottom line. Factor in the addition 60K DEC from the leaderboard at peg pricing, and I managed to earn a total around 275 USD over the complete season. These are still great numbers considering I am getting great entertainment and competitive value from my time spent playing this wonderfully challenging Web3 strategy TCG.
It will be a bit sad to see the sun setting on Ranked Reward chests for daily and seasonal rewards. I head into the new glint overhaul with an open mind and positive outlook. While others get salty about it getting harder to extract value from the game, I prefer to look at the ways that the game is improving and I'm hopeful this new glint shop will eventually be a source of good for this game. I have faith that as data is collected, the team will be able to make informed decisions to improve the quality of goods offered through the shop. I look forward to checking back in with you all after S132, Ranked Reward Season 45, to see how the glint system has redefined our Ranked Rewards system. Hopefully, these Ranked Rewards summary tools will be updated to include glint earned with the new calculations.
