I suspect that some of the big Hive accounts don't really need the money and they could have cashed out when the price was much higher. Some of them do actually believe in building something unique that has more than monetary value. People are building new dapps and we are gaining new witnesses even whilst the price is stagnant. I wouldn't write it off yet.
I think there are some people who believe in the chain, but I am not sure they are going to be a big enough majority to save it. I am here until the end or whatever happens, but it's starting to get a bit depressing.
After nine years here I am wary of getting my hopes up, but I still find it better than most other social media. I don't desperately need the money, but I understand that others do and we have to find ways to keep people on board. That may involve some compromises.

You are 100% correct. There is nothing like Hive anywhere. It’s changed a lot of lives. For the Good. I was able to retire 5 years early thanks to Hive (and the OG / Steemit)
