Thoughts from an afternoon at the sunset of my ideas --ENG/ESP

Hello to all the terrestrial and mortal beings existing in this giant universe! The most invisible being on the planet, ANIMK, is here to greet you. And just like this beautiful image of a sunset, I got thinking about how this world even exists. I mean, how can we travel inside this planet, go here and there, look at the sky, and feel like the clouds, though distant, look so close to the surface that it seems like you only need to raise your arms to reach them.

Then a question popped into my head: How do we get lost on our own planet? How is such an event even possible? Is it because we go into the jungle where surviving is a minute-by-minute challenge, or is it due to a difficult location, or perhaps scarce food?

Even here on Earth, when someone gets lost, it's possible they are never found again, depending on the site where they disappeared. Then I thought, and BAMMMM! What would happen if this occurred in space?

I've already done a blog post about how difficult it is to locate ourselves in our universe using the tools humanity has created to search for life, but what if we just strayed too far from our solar system? How do we get home? Our galaxy is constantly moving, and the universe is expanding even faster, so we would simply spend eternity chasing our galaxy without being able to catch it.

Another crazy idea that occurred to me is, what if we arrived at a planet with a civilization similar to ours? (Putting aside that those chances are slim) How could we signal that we are lost? How do I communicate with the inhabitants, assuming they are peaceful?

The idea gets even crazier: landing in a place identical to the one we left, where we believe we have finally arrived home, but we are actually living in another solar system, on another planet, yet still believing it's our beloved EARTH 💀.

Even worse would be the scenario of crash-landing in an abandoned place where there is no macroscopic life. We would only see a deserted planet without resources, leading to our inevitable end.

The universe is so giant that once we are lost, I don't think there's a way to return home. I doubt current technology could manage it. Maybe in the future, but before thinking on such a grand scale, we still have to figure out how to recover people lost on our own planet. How many adventurers venture into the unknown, and sometimes never return?

A mi me encanta hacerme muchas preguntas
