The Cycling Community

In the last months of 2024 it has been a bit quiet in the Cycling Community.
I've seen fewer blogs being published and the number of active users has gone down.
Despite having already 584 subscribers, there current state is that there are 32 active users, 54 interactions and 92 pending rewards.
The number of active users and interactions have been a lot higher in the past.

I know the reason is also partially caused by myself. I have been less active in the community lately. I've been quite busy with several other projects both on Hive as in real life. I didn't post a lot about cycling. My rides nowadays are mostly limited to my commuting rides because winter over here has been quite cold and wet.
The small amount of interesting blogs about cycling has made me (temporarily) stop the weekly 'highlight blogs' as well.

But there are some positive points as well. I still see new people subscribing tot the community. The growth has slowed down, but hasn't stopped. Some of our regular members are still sharing their posts and the #strava2hive posts still are published in the community keeping it alive.

A new year, new energy, new chances!

Let's start the new year with fresh energy and give the Cycling Community a boost!
If we manage to make the Cycling Community more active again I can start posting the Community Highlight blogs again, so please keep sharing your rides and other cycling blogs!
I've also been thinking of ways to attract more cyclists to this community.
I was thinking of the following things:

• Re-introducting the weekly higlights posts
• Create more Snaps microblogs with short cycling content
• Upvoting cycling related blogs not posted in the Cycling Community
• Finding ways to attract cyclists from outside Hive to our community (@posh?)
• Giving returns on delegation rewards to attract more delegations and increase the upvote value of the community account
• ???

With this ambitious ideas to make the next step in growing this community I do think it's time that I'm going to ask some help.

Wanted: Cycling Community Moderator!

I've been 'running' this community on my own since the startup many years ago. I think it is a good idea that someone joins me in this so it's not a one-man-team anymore.
I'm looking for a cycling enthusiast with which I can discuss the ideas that I have to improve this community and that can help me with that.
It would also be useful if someone could help me with curation and and promoting the community both on Hive and on Web2 social media.
