Hi Everyone,
It's another beautiful day on the land of living and it's with great pleasure that I'm welcoming everyone to my blog and I hope you're all doing well and having a great week.
It feels so good to be on this amazing platform today and to share with you all little tips about poultry birds.
Being a small scale poultry farmer, I have gather some experience as it's been a while have went in to poultry farm business and my goal is to one day become a big scale poultry farmer.
When it comes to poultry farming or raising birds, taking care of them is very very important because broiler birds are easily prone to diseases if care is not taken.
To ensure you breed a healthy birds, taking care of bird's litters or bedding is very important.
Before I go on, I will like to explain what litters or bedding means in poultry farm. Bird's litter or bedding are absorbent materials like sawdust, woodshave, rice shaft, sands and so on which placed on the floor surface of the bird's pen and give them comfort.
But over the time, being negligence or procrastinating on when to change the bird's bedding usually leads to great disaster in poultry farm. If you're familiar with poultry farm then you should realize that wet bedding is very harmful to the bird's and different kind of bacterias usually arise from wet bedding and which may cause great damage to the birds health if care is not taken.
To prevent any disease outbreak from the bird's bedding, it's very important you replace it on time and not wait until all the bedding are wet before you do so.
Changing bird's litter or bedding on time will prevent any form of bacterial diseases and give warmth to the birds.
And moreso, make sure to use a very good water absorbent material for bedding so as to keep the temperature in the bird's pen balance.
These are some of the pictures I took when replacing my bird's bedding with new one.
Remember that a clean environment is usually a disease free environment, so keep your bird's pen clean always so as to have a great productivity.
