Hello beautiful people. If you're familiar with betting, you’d agree that gamblers don’t always know the outcome of their stakes. The same is true with relationships, but the likelihood of a productive outcome is higher, about 4:5. Many of us have invested our resources and trust in people who have let us down, leading us to believe that relationships are a scam, and that people can’t be trusted. However, I disagree.
The fact that something fails to achieve its purpose doesn't make it fake; rather, it can be seen as a prototype that needs improvement. Last night, God revealed something profound about relationships to me in a dream. I dreamt that I was the only person left in the world, with all the money, houses, cars, and investments. I didn't realize I was alone until I stepped out to shop for groceries and found out that I was both the shopper and the shop owner.
After a week, despite having everything to make life beautiful, I became very depressed. I realized that the beauty of life isn’t in its possessions but in people’s capital. One can have everything, but their world will still crumble if they don't have connections with others.
We all need relationships to survive. We need someone to talk to, someone to trust, someone at every point in our lives. Human capital is the best asset we must navigate life and experience the joy we desire. I studied the lives of several influential people and found that relationships sustain their wealth and provide security, not just their investments.
If you were left alone in the world, would fashion, cars, houses, and money matter to you? No, I don't think so either! Our priority as humans should be food and quality relationships. We must value and appreciate the people in our lives. Be intentional about your relationships.
Today is the third day (in a row) that I am engaged in one discussion or the other which centers on social relationships. Two days ago, a friend and I discussed intensively how beneficial human networks are, particularly problem-solving and door-opening.
Yesterday, in a training that we both are participants in, one of the facilitators replied to my words as though he had us on record.
This morning, I woke up to a post by another very close friend of mine, appreciating a friend of his who had sent him money towards his studies abroad, and now, behold this reiteration. I won't downplay any relationship and I'll be more intentional regarding this.
