I'm going to share some of the cards that were mostly used by me, and the reason I kept using them. I depended on those cards because I used them to win battles. There were times it was so hard to arrange a battle without any of these cards; and I was able to win many battles due to these cards, they are
Commander Slade
Commander Slade is a melee monster with amazing ability! This monster is very good when it's a melee battle, that is, only melee is allowed. I love to use Commander Slade anytime I'm giving melee mayhem; we all know that Enfeeble ability is versatile against melee monsters.
That is the reason Commander Slade is my choice monster whenever ‘up close and personal rule’ is given to me.
One things that stands out is that, Commander Slade is used when high mana is given to me.
Commander Slade is a monster one can trust when blast ability is given in a battle. There was a battle I played sometime ago, I placed Ulundin Overseer as the first monster, and Commander Slade as the second monster. With this strategy, it was hard to eliminate Commander Slade; and I won the battle. The deflect ability was helpful in this battle; and the blast ability did not affect the Commander Slade
Even though my opponent used magic monsters against me, I still managed to win in some cases as a result of long life of Commander Slade.
The dodge ability make it difficult for melee monsters to attack Commander Slade.
Hence, Commander Slade is one of the best monsters in water splinter.
Notice: one have to be smart to know the best battle to use Commander Slade; if you use it when your opponent uses magic monsters, you might not win the battle. There was battle I encountered, I used magic monsters although, and my opponent use **Commander Slade and other melee monsters.
Abyssal Elemental
Abyssal elemental is one of its kind with tremendous impact. There is one thing I like about water splinters (Marlai Singariel) - it is good when a player wants to use magic monsters. It gives +1 additional magic attack to friendly monsters.
Hence, Abyssal Elemental is one of the beneficiaries of it. What captivate me of using Abyssal Elemental is the resurgence. There was a time when when I was battling with noxious fume, when all my cards were destroyed by poisoning, and we Abyssal Elemental resurrected, the poison could not affect it. Since then, I like to use Abyssal Elemental in Noxious fume ruleset.
Abyssal Elemental is good in many battle rules; I have used it to win the toughest battle in splinterlands.
Halfling Refugee
Some people will be surprised while I picked Halfling Refugee; to be sincere, I like this monster so much because with 1 mana, I do have Halfling Refugee in my battle.
Several times I was given 12 mana, Halfling was the one who rescued me. It allowed me to use my preferred monsters in battle.
i use Halfling Refugee frequently in the battle: I did not used Halfling Refugee due to its abilities, I used it because it gives me a chance to use many monsters. For instance, there were several battles, I was left with 1 or 2 mana; Halfling is my choice monster to use.
Arachine Weaver
There are monsters when you have them in your battle, you will be happy. I like the ability of Arachine Weaver It is very good in some of the battle rules. There was a battle where I was given a Scattershoot, Noxious fume and equalizer. I picked death splinter, and I was sure I included Arachine Weaver in my lineup.
Arachine Weaver was restoring all the health of 5 monsters in my lineup, and only Arachine Weaver was eliminated in this battle.
Arachine Weaver is a multifunctional monster; at the highest level, it has it has three abilities- corrupted healing, scavenger and poison.
