Day 866: 5 Minute Freewrite: Wednesday - Prompt: picker
Picker is not something which you seem to understand at first. It is normally referred to as who picks vegetables or fruits in a field. Since it's what farmers use to monitor where the crops have grown you can say that there's a person who does that sort of work.
So if you are the person who picks a bunch of crops in a field or anywhere else for that matter you are one of the pickers. Then there's another and only person to be picked. The second picker is called farmer.
Person picking crops and farmer is an old Spanish word, but "picker" is what it is called in the US. Still, there's something to be said for the fact that you may not know this word but you know this word: farmers.
