Autumn Leaves and a Burnt-out Car

In the county I live in, the trees have shed their leaves, leaving behind a beautiful carpet of orange on the ground. It's a lovely sight. I was driving past this area this morning and couldn't resist stopping to take a photo.

I noticed a woman and her dog in the far distance. It wasn't until later on that I realised it was someone I knew from the village. It's funny how small the world can feel sometimes. This particular spot is a favourite among photographers, who come here to capture the beauty of the beech trees in all seasons. In the spring, the fresh green leaves look good against the blue sky. In the summer, the sun peeps through the trees. In the autumn, the orange leaves create a stunning backdrop for photos. In the winter, hopefully there's mist or snow on the ground. I can definitely see why this place is so popular with photographers.

In my actual village the sides of the lanes are covered with fallen leaves.

It is getting slightly cooler now. Another week and I will have to get my long trousers on!

However, like any other place, it has its dark side as well. I came across a stolen car that had been dumped by joyriders in a quiet lane.

Thankfully, the overhanging tree branches hadn't caught fire.

Today, I visited the country park near my home. It looks lovely in the autumn season. The park has a peaceful atmosphere, with only a few dog walkers about.

I took a leisurely walk around the flat circular path that winds its way through the park. The walk is not too long or strenuous. It's perfect for people of all ages and fitness levels.

As I drove away from the area, I felt lucky to live in a county thats so pretty.

The autumn leaves covering the paths look so serene and inviting. I can only imagine how peaceful it is to take your dog for a stroll in such a lovely area.

Beautiful autumn colours and atmosphere. I would love to take this walk too.
What’s a shame about those cars! Such a waste!
So you could still walk around in your shorts!

Yes, I'm still wearing shorts. My legs don't feel the cold but it won't be too long before I'm in trousers.

It’s quite a contrast isn’t it, the beauty of the world around us and the miscreants that inhabit the same space. Lovely to bump into a neighbour though.

You've taught me a new word, Nick. Never heard of 'miscreants'. I'm going to try and get it into a conversation now. 😁

It’s a good one, avoids use of rude language too!

I've very familiar with rude language. 😀

Lovely place and its autumnal details. Except the car, of course.

Thank you @ervin-lemark. Yes, feel sorry for the car owner.

Lots of vibrant colors, and it seems like a painting... Beautiful photographs. I hope you had a good walk while enjoying this beautiful surroundings...

Yes, I tend to walk about aimlessly. Hope you are keeping well. 🙂 I'm a little tired. I was awake most of the night listening to the US election. 🙄
