Splinterlands battle challenge: Gem Meteor the unpredictable monster

Hello Splinter nerds

It has been a crazy week for the Glx token as the price suddenly dropped from 0.7 above to 0.25 hive, we all expected this though since it is an airdrop that will last for a year and players have it in large quantity!

I played safe by selling half and staking half, i am curious to see how the game will turn out to be in the future....

This week splinter lands challenge is about Gem meteor one of the most used chaos neutral card, this is due to its scattershot`` ability, players love it when their monster is unpredictable...

This monster also possess the pierce ability which makes it more brutal in battle especially with the combo of badass summoners like yodin zaku and byzantine kitty

I had a battle with antonine in a fog of war and briar patch battle rule, means no sneak and snipe and all monsters have the thorn ability....

This kind of battle rule is against the melee attacks and as you can see that the opponent and i did not make use of melee monsters...

The summoners would also determine who wins, i came up with lir deepswimmer to counter the opponent range attackers but he was only concerned about protecting his monsters so he used kelya summoner...

The battle was a close one because of one monster he used baakjira, the gem meteor helped in clearing his rear monsters but i would have lost to baakjira because i didn't use any monster with the affliction ability...

I was saved because baakjira can only get 5 health per heal but my attackers deduct 6 from it.. So each round i keep reducing his health by 1 till i successful defeated it...

There we go, victory!

Here is another battle i could not help but share, it is about one of the best gladius monster Quora towershead, anytime opponent see this monster as part of the team, they lose their hope in winning the battle, atleast it has happened to me many times and also my friends always lament they got killed by quora lol.....

It feels good when we are the one using it but bad bad when the opponent use it against us...
