Been sitting here watching the charts bleed, sipping some coffee that's probably been sitting out too long, and just thinking about the state of things. Specifically Hive. Look, I ain't trying to spread FUD just to be a jerk, but man, the writing has been on the wall for a minute now, eh?
We got folks running around acting shocked that the token price is in the toilet or that engagement is purely extracted by circles of bots patting each other on the back. But seriously... should we really be surprised?
This whole model printing tokens out of thin air to reward "content" was always a shaky premise. It’s almost like we tried to build a house on a wet cardboard foundation. Eventually, it’s gonna soggy up and collapse. You can't just keep inflating supply without actual external demand coming in to scoop it up. And let’s be real, nobody outside our little bubble is rushing to buy Hive to upvote a picture of someone's cat.
I’ve been saying it for years, physical assets usually beat digital guesswork. You hold gold, you hold silver, you got something real. You hold a utility token on a chain that’s basically an echo chamber? You’re holding a bag of hope.
And don't get me started on the "decentralization" drama. It’s always the same few whales pulling the strings anyway. We pretend it’s this utopia of freedom, but it’s just politics with extra steps and less accountability.
I still mess with it, obviously. I run my nodes, I got my projects like DUO, I code my little scripts. But I ain't delusional about where this ship is headed. It was never sustainable. The math just doesn't work long term without real revenue, real products, real reasons for money to enter the system besides speculation.
So yeah, the future looks kinda grim. But if you’ve been paying attention, you knew this was the play all along. Just gotta stack what you can, diversify into real stuff, and stop hoping a miracle pump is gonna save bad tokenomics.
