President for a day?

The economy presently is very bad, everyone literally complaining about the bad government and the bad economy. Every citizen is filling the heat of this bad governance. What's the rich and the poor are complaining, now the question is what would you do if you were given the position of a president for a day?

I asked some of my friends this question, and their replies were really funny. Most of them said, if they ever have the privilege to be a president for a day.

I would take a lot of money and keep them to myself, i would put a lots of properties under my name, I'd make sure all my family leaves the country and travel abroad.

I laughed out so loud, i wasn't laughing because what she said was funny, but i was laughing because, she has been blaming the government for poor management and bad economy, whereas if she was given the same position, she wouldn't do anything concerning the economy.

Now this is where we have a problem. It's not always about the government, sometimes the citizens are also the problem, we complain about bad government yet, we don't have the economy at heart.

Some times, i feel like anyone that holds the privilege of becoming the president, automatically becomes selfish and only thinks of a way to embezzle money and properties. Only few people with good conscience would have the citizens at heart.

If i was a president for a day

Personally if i was given the privilege to be a president for a day. I'd love to right lots of wrongs.

When it comes to electricity, the light in some areas are really poor, I'd make sure there's permanent electricity for everyone, I'd also make it affordable for everyone.

Second on the line is Transportation. The cost of transportation is on the high side, only few people can afford to use public transport and this is because transport is expensive. Most people earn little or low incomes, and their home to their place of work is quite a distance, which they'd need to borde a public transport. Some people would prefer trekking than using a public transport.

Sometimes if a working class person calculate how much he/she spends on transportation going to work and calculates their salary, you'd end seeing that they have spent more than half of their salary on transport already. So transportion price is going to go down.

The price of petrol (fuel).
Price inflation is due to the price of fuel. Transportation is everything, most times when the petrol price is high, automatically everything goes up as well. Most goods produced in a far distant location, transportation makes it possible for the goods to circulate. But when the price of petrol is on the high side, the producers of these goods would have no other option than to add the cost of transportion to the costing of their goods, this act results to increasement of the goods.

Reducing the price of petrol would be my number one priority.

Hospitals and drugs would be free for everyone. Most people can't afford proper health care and drugs for themselves. Alot of people has lost their lives as a result of not having enough money to buy medications . If I'd get the opportunity to be president for just a day, there's going to be free health medications and checkup for everyone.

They're lots of bad roads that can cause accidents to occur, I'd make sure all the roads are taken care of and well cemented for pedestrians to make use of it.

I'd make sure the economy system is stable, and favourable for everyone to live a comfortable life.
