If you are a very busy person, keep it simple and blog once a week (consistency)
One of the popular ideas about blogging is that it takes a lot of time and that you need to always write and post, just like many people do on social media.
Well, while that sounds like the whole truth, it isn't actually. In fact, you can blog once every two weeks and Google will love you regardless. I think the idea that blogging takes a lot of time comes from news bloggers. They constantly have to post and propagate the notion that it takes time. They believe that a busy person cannot blog. You know what? They are right. A news blogger requires a lot of time to stay relevant because every minute, there's something new the masses must know. But this isn't the case with all industry blogging. Even in the news industry, not everyone does the constant updates of everyday news bloggers.
While I was in Ebonyi state, I used to frequent one workstation. There, I met an elderly blogger, and we got talking.
I learned that he's a journalist with one of the state's dailies but no longer works with them. He's 62 years old. His style of blogging focuses strictly on feature news stories. He takes a longer time to have more perspective about an issue, say "Reverting to the Old National Anthem, Nigeria We Hail Thee," and then does a proper exegesis on it. He could write 2,000-5,000 words exploring all angles of the story.
His visitors are highly educated Nigerians and those overseas who want to have a complete grasp of such situations. He writes at his convenience. It could be 300 words daily. Blogging isn't entirely about publishing posts daily, especially if you focus on evergreen content or a specific industry. As long as you're not in an industry that requires constant updates to fulfill users' demands, you don't always need to post frequently. However, you might need everyday monitoring, analyzing, planning, etc.
For some people, they could plan the entire content they'll write for the next six months in one month. So, they already know exactly what they're doing and how much time and effort it requires.
If you have expertise and experience in a particular industry, blogging can be your side hustle. Give it one year and you'll never regret it. I highly recommend blogging for professionals, business owners, etc. I highly recommend blogging for lawyers, bankers, teachers, doctors, relationship coaches, consultants, CAC registration agents, realtors—you name it. Blogging will be much easier for you since you already have existing knowledge of your industry. Plus, Google prefers content written by subject-matter experts like you. Google prefers a lawyer to write legal content compared to just writers. Google prefers a relationship coach to be the one writing relationship content compared to just writers.
It prefers you, with real-world experience, to put out content because of the concept of Googlization. Google knows that you'll bring more substance than others who are writing from what they read on other blogs.
Thank you very much for reading

First of all, you wrote from your point of view so that’s fine but there are people who struggle to come up with even a minimum of 200 words for a contest… which is fine because we’re all different. You took the view of a blogger so it’s expected of him to say the not so difficult part about blogging… it’s just like asking a pastor if it’s difficult to be a pastor…as a church member who has been chosen to be a pastor ….
And oh if you want quality content , I really don’t think you’ll spend less than 45 minutes on a post… time is money, do you know how much that is in money ? lol
You're so right; everyone’s experience is different. For some, writing comes easy, but for others, it takes a lot more effort. It's interesting how roles and expectations shape our views on what’s difficult. Thanks for always stopping by mi love.
You’re welcome
It actually doesn't require a lot of time.... 1 hr is more than enough in the 24 hrs we have
Exactly, I really can't say it's applicable to all because humans just can't seem to stop surprising us haha. Thanks love for always stopping by.
