Who Am I To Judge?

in HiveGhana7 months ago

The social media space is a world on it own, filled with different characters playing their parts to make it a fun place but some times, it could go south because of some people's lifestyles. Apparently, youths are the main target here because most of us are too vulnerable and we let things get to us easily.

Several people at some point portray different lifestyles on social media which often a time quite contradicting their personal lives offline. When we see these kind of things, we are poised to judge them without a rethink, ofcourse everybody wants to be a saint maybe because other are sinning differently, don't get me wrong, I am not trying to drum support of wreckless lifestyles or a fake lifestyle.

Personally, I have come across various people on the social media space whose lifestyles they show up there are just what they want the world to see, reasons best known to them. Recently, I met a facebook content creator who'd seem to be controversial online, but when I get to meet him offline in a mall, he was down to earth, I mean the aura changed when I met him, the little time I get to spend with him, I learnt a whole new thing.

Sometimes, these people choose this controversial lifestyles so they could go viral and make some money if not alot of money, you can also agree with me that controversial contents do convert alot and most celebrities we are seeing today are surviving and striving on controversial lifestyles.

Let's take a more visible example from Portable who happens to be so controversial in the social media space, trolling every little person he comes across, this has kept him afloat in the industry since his inception in the year 2022, he might not be out favourite but certainly, his controversial lifestyle is feeding him big time.

That being said, seeing Portable offline, one could agree with me that he is a calm fellow behind the camera, he cares so much for the poor and less privileged that every months he spend millions of naira feeding them, but no, social media space people isn't seeing him as a philanthropist, so should I judge him for living controversially to feed himself, the family and others?

However, living a fake life shouldn't be part of life games, I mean why fake what can be real? Before we go out there to judge others, let's be so sure of our own uprightness, live and let others live, sometimes your own opinion about others don't even matter, whatever makes them feel good about themselves should be left that way.

You are right bro. I agree with the book should never be judged by it's cover

You made a crucial point. People make these fake lifestyle on social media to get popular and get paid. It's all about the money for them.

I agree with you, lots of actions on social media are for content sake to make money and have fame. No one can judge by people's profiles at all
