My October Recap

in HiveGhana2 months ago

October has always been my favorite month and I know it’s by the mere fact that it’s my birth month. Nothing really special about it
I don’t even make my birthday a big deal nor do I celebrate it (party). Yet October is my month. It’s normal for anyone to consider his or her birth month the favorite.

October was just like the other previous months but maybe a lot busier and somewhat more memorable.

I came home from school in October and had to immediately begin with processing my national service documents. It was quite stressful because I had to join long queues for validation using my Ghana Card. I am one who hates to wait. I was just cursing and complaining 😂 “in this digital world driven by technology why do we have to queue to do validation when a software system can be developed so we just sit at the comfort at our homes and do it on our own” I kept ranting in my head.I was with my friend that day and on our way it started raining we were a motorcycle and the rain got us soaked and cold, it was a terrible experience. we both have never been caught up in the rain like that. We tried to ride through the rain but it was too heavy and dangerous. So we had to wait for it to get calmer before we proceed.

After the validation process I started my national service so far it’s normal
But it’s quite boring because there’s no much work because the students are currently on break
So often we just sit in the office and run a couple of errands each working day. Anyway I don’t just sit around and do nothing I have use for the that free and idle time. I use it for learning and also reading a book I’ve been wanting to complete . Sometimes too I just play games and watch TikTok.

Usually I run errands for my mum. Sometimes I have to go to the atm, go get the groceries, provisions and often I go to buy some other stuff parcel it and take it to the bus station to be transported to Togo 🇹🇬. It’s always difficult combining this errands with my national service but I always seek for permission since there’s no work for now.

This was me and my sister, she was on a mid semester break and I took her along with me on one of my rounds.

And we got some ice cream. It was too sweet for my liking.

Also in the last week of October, I had to buy a bale of cloths and beads for my sister, she no longer stays in tamale, so I to buy them. It was a tedious one because she is quite hard to work with. Eventually everything was done though it didn’t go as planned and delayed.

I was unable to get the type of beads she needed.

October is done already
I’m looking forward to a Nice November. I only hate that the harmattan season is coming
Thanks for reading and see you in my next post
