Recently i was traveling for my my base to my hometown where I would be spending the Christmas with my family and friends, but along the way I saw how people were hustling vigorously so as to be able to celebrate the festive periods with their family people were practically Under the Sun hawking and selling foods or fruits so that they can get some change in their pockets.
One thing that I experienced that broke my heart was while we were on the bus, there are people who sell fruits like bananas bread and different kinds of snacks in traffic. We found one woman busily cursing out, claiming that someone bought something and instead of giving her a thousand Naira they dropped 500 Naira and the bus sped away.
Apparently in Nigeria, it is dangerous and hectic to sell on the roadside talkless of in the middle of the road but for people to make ends meet they have to hustle to the extent and it is so sad that some people take advantage of this by scammimg them.
So, if I was santa Claus for a day i will definitely reach out to the poor and the needy most especially because they are the ones that we need the money is and the gifts that are necessary to celebrate the birth of Christ. I saw a video of a philanthropist popularly known as Asherkine giving out gifts to people on the street, we can see from their faces that they are excited. Even the person that seem stressed and sad was excited at the sight of money and gifts.
It pays to be kind to people especially those who truly deserve it and are worthy of it and would appreciate it. So, if I am santa this is who I will be giving my gifts to, friends that are in need, people on the street, orphanages and so on.
