The Resilience and Hope of the Youth in Ghana.

in HiveGhana11 months ago

Every young person dreams of a better life and hopes to make a positive impact on their country's growth. Where we come from plays a big role in determining our future. It's like a burning desire inside us, pushing us to write the story of our nation by looking at the past, dealing with the present, and trying to see what might happen in the future.

Imagine this image, it's not just a random image. We're not standing on the sidelines; we're in the middle of it, living our country's story. But sometimes, when we speak out with strong feelings, people think we're just being negative about our country. No way! We're not the ones who only see bad stuff. We're like time travelers, thinking about what happened before, feeling what's happening now, and imagining what's coming next.

But here's the thing: we're here, watching, while politicians mess around with the dreams of young people. They split us up based on which party we support, forgetting about the bigger picture of being one nation. We're willing to fight for them, thinking they'll use their power to help everyone. Instead, they take what belongs to all of us and give it to their own families, who then take over as leaders. Meanwhile, those of us who fight for them end up poor, passing on nothing but misery to our kids.

It's sad to see young people not knowing what's ahead for them. They might get tempted to join some not-so-great groups because of bad leadership. These groups can easily recruit them because of the messed-up way the country is being run. Graduates sit at home for ages without jobs, while the trend in Ghana is to go into politics just to show off, leaving others behind in poverty. Ghana is in a bad state, and young people are losing their dreams every day.

Our hospitals as I always bemoaned have become suicide centres and our roads death traps. Our youth risk everything, crossing dangerous places, and we act like it's normal just to make sustenance in Europe. Unless the youth rise up, nothing is going to change in Ghana. It's time to #standup, #breakfree, and make a new future where young people's dreams don't fade away, and we all work together for a better Ghana.
