Hive Empowers Communities projects have been life-changing projects and at the same time helping to expose others to Hive. One of the spectacular things we have achieved under this project was the provision of potable drinking water through mechanized boreholes.
These projects have come to the aid of communities that have experienced severe challenges with water. In these communities, access to good drinking water has been a major challenge due to the lack of water extensions of rural areas by the Ghana Water Company. In such communities, they had to rely more on dug-out wells, rivers, dams, and other unsafe water sources that are mostly detrimental to their health.
We are pleased to have been able to support some of these communities through the massive support of Hive. Even while we embark on water projects, we also conduct other initiatives that have greatly helped to empower these communities to improve their lives.
Through our team of doctors, we have been able to conduct free medical screenings in several communities, which has helped to provide free medical care in diverse ways. Below are pictures of the recent health outreach that was conducted during the launch of the 17th borehole.
This took place in Nsuta Kwagyei where the 17th borehole is located. The event was well-organized with our team of doctors we have worked with for some time. Through their expertise, many residents and those from neighboring towns were all screened, had their blood pressure checked, and underwent eye tests.
Free drugs were given, and those whose conditions required urgent attention were referred to hospitals for medical attention. The event was attended by the chief of Nsuta, leaders of the town, and othrtguests who were invited.
It's inspiring to see the number people whose lives have been impacted through the project. The good news is how many people's lives have been totally transformed and how it has served as one of the good reasons why people should believe in Hive. It's indeed evident that Hive has the potential to change lives. We appreciate the support we have received towards these projects, and our biggest thanks goes to everyone for the various ways you have supported.
