Good day, amazing people of the Hive Blockchain. Welcome back to my blog. It is another edition in the #hiveghana community. I am so delighted to participate in this week's prompts: Christmas as a kid or an adult.

Christmas is one period I always long for; it is a season of love and merry. Christmas is a special moment because we get to meet our relatives, and there is a lot of fun and enjoyment. If I must say, Christmas as a child is very memorable and more fun because I have nothing to worry about, but now as an adult, I don’t look forward to Christmas because it is full of billing and responsibility.
Christmas as a child is very sweet. I miss every moment. I just wish I could draw back the hand of time to those days. I was a child once. When Christmas is approaching, as a child, I am always excited because my far-distance cousins will come back, and you know what that means: the whole house will be noisy, and laughter will always fill the rooms as we tell stories and laugh over it.
Like I said, as a child I have nothing to worry about because my parents will take care of everything. As a kid there is no year I don’t wear Christmas clothes and miss this part of Christmas clothes. Whenever I go to church on 25th December and I see kids wearing their Christmas clothes, I just wish I could draw back the hand of time. One sweet thing about Christmas as a child is no billing; our parents take care of everything. All I know is to enjoy myself because there is a lot to eat and enjoy.

Now we are in the month of Christmas. I will not lie; I am scared because there is a lot of responsibility to bear because it is expected that when I am coming home, I should bring something, while coming back is no longer like back then. My parents sorted my bills; now I will sort mine and that of my parents. I don’t know if there is any season that puts me under pressure like Christmas. This is a season of debt most times. It is painful seeing this debt, but there is nothing we can do because there are a lot of people looking up to us.
As an adult, I get to realise that Christmas is not all about enjoyment; there is more to it, and it has sharpened my mind that I need to work hard in order to enjoy and have a memorable Christmas.
Childhood Christmas is so memorable and sweet; there is nothing to worry a lot of memories, worry about and but adulthood Christmas is full of responsibility, and spending childhood Christmas still reminds me of the best for me.
